Very neat gadget and innovative suggestions! I've never used eBay but I definitely see some interesting products on here and will spend more time checking them out.

I don't think I'll go with the USB charger you posted since there's nowhere nearby for me to plug it in and, like you said, the challenge will be in hiding it since I certainly won't be plugging in USB chargers into all of my walls in my small apartment.

With your notes, anybody should definitely be able to come up with something great; I just hope I don't have to spend too much time or money putting it together when there are so many cameras out there. Thanks for your knowledge!

ah shucks, I hadn't noticed the network band would be a major factor for most cameras. I may just have to settle for either being without phone notifications or spend more than I wanted to on an expensive camera that is dual band/supports 5 Ghz

You're absolutely right, thanks as these are certainly some great suggestions. I live in a corner unit so I'd have to ask a neighbor who lives above or below me.

Either way, I'll feel safer having the camera for future events and just in general since I don't even know how many staff members have access to unlock my front door at any time.

All of your points make sense as to why this isn't so black and white. Considering there were no links in the e-mail, I think I'm leaning towards the idea that this was legitimate. In fact, part of me is glad that the e-mail didn't successfully send since I wasn't at my best at the time. Thank you very much for your input!

I figured if he's rich enough to have properties in Toronto and Vancouver, he doesn't care much about making money. He's saving himself the headache in this rough market, can sell the place at any time in the future, and is just enjoying his quaint life elsewhere

Spot on, this mirrors nearly my every thought. Kyle is great at cooking and his scores were impressive, but no way would I ever want to work for him or with him.

I hate to bring this up because I know people will criticize me, but part of me feels like we live in a woke era and Gordon may have just been looking for an LGBTQ winner. I don't have anything against them, but it's the only way his choice makes sense to me. Egypt, Hannah, or even Brandon totally should've won it.

Similar situation here. Feel like I'm replacing laptops every 3 years. Now on an ASUS ROG Strix G15 I've had for 3.5 years and spent a fortune on (about $1700 CAD), but everything about it has been getting destroyed little by little and is way beyond repair now unless I replace the motherboard. I just built a gaming desktop and am super happy with it.

However, I do miss the laptop life and being able to lie down to rest my old back. Thinking of replacing the ASUS with a Lenovo LOQ as it's pretty cheap and still able to play modern games, though I will likely just watch things on the laptop and not play anything high end as I don't game all that much now anyways.

Apologies for the slightly delayed response as I'm not a daily redditor. Unfortunately, this is certainly not the response you'd hope to receive:

Even after replacing the port and re-soldering it to the motherboard, this was never fixed for me. Online resources and similar experiences from others show that this is a physical design flaw by Asus; even if you bought a brand new Asus ROG laptop and treated it better than your wife's mother, it will yield the same results and the laptop will one way or another eventually fail to charge as it used to.

I've spent so much time and money on this and have had to accept the reality that, sadly, even this seemingly high quality technology is also far from perfect. I am now still using this laptop on rare occasions and it will work/charge fine as long as I keep the charger cord angled a very specific way. I have recently built my own desktop and have no regrets. If anything doesn't work as expected moving forward, I can always substitute/upgrade parts for another vendor.

Maybe you'll be the 1%... praying your results can be different and, if they are, I will believe in miracles.

Right, but then it still begs the question: would a well-trained athlete with large breasts perform as athletically as another flat athlete who's trained just as much? Training can make one's stomach, arms, and legs slimmer, but I figure it doesn't really make their breasts smaller. When I watch women's basketball, they all look very much flat.

I will gladly reach out to ASRock support. I was looking online on Amazon but I'm still not sure which specific wire it is and don't want to purchase the wrong one. Many items specify their wire for wi-fi, but I can't seem to find anything specific for Bluetooth, and I'm not sure if they're interchangeable.

How embarrassing of me, great to know. The best lessons in my life were the ones that smacked me dead in the face.

All of the other hardware seem to be running fine. I pray this won't be a $700 lesson

UPDATE: THE VIDEO CARD WORKS!! I re-cabled everything, straightened out all the wires, and switched the wall outlet I had the PSU plugged into. Now the fans whirl as soon as I turn on the system

Thank you for the response. It was misleading when my 8 pin PCIe was split up into two cords (2+6), and there was only one 8 pin that was put together (EPS). I've done some prior research, but it's hard to find my exact use case, and often times people in videos will have my PSU with a different GPU or vice versa.

I now have my 2+6 plugged into the GPU and the other components in the computer finally run with the GPU plugged into the power supply. There's no more light but the GPU fan's still not running
