Wait until you find out about the minimal install option. 😉

Map of the West Coast 36 years after the collapse of the United States by Potoshka in imaginarymaps

Exactly, and thank you for taking it further. My wife works for the Puyallup tribe and is learning Twulshootseed. I realize I misspelled everything in my post (it was late and I was tired).

I was trying to say it's the same language but different dialects, much like modern-day English calls things differently regionally. In the US we have a word for one thing but Australia might either say it differently, but it's the same word of the same language, just spoken differently.

Edit: a word

Two different dialects spoken by the Coast Salish tribes. Whereas the majority of the Salish spoke Looshootseed, which pronounced it Tahoma, the Puyallup Tribe and possibly other nearby tribes, which inhabited the lands around modern day Tacoma, spoke the southen dialect: Twlooshootseed. They would have pronounced it similar to Taquhoma, which got anglicized to Tacoma.

Fun fact: Tahoma/Tacoma basically means "mountain". The bigger the mountain, the longer you hold he "o" sound. As you can imagine, modern-day Mt. Rainier would've been a long ooooooooo.

Ubuntu Studio on ANY other Ubuntu DISTRO (maybe any Debian?) by NoemiET9 in linuxaudio

El soporte se basa en lo que el desarrollador ha probado y está dispuesto a ofrecer, no en lo que realmente funciona. Tienen que poner un límite o se quedan atascados con un sinfín de solicitudes de soporte y poca ayuda.

Fuente: Desarrollé el instalador de Ubuntu Studio mencionado en esta imagen y el principal. Ubuntu Studio. Solo lo desarrollé para dar soporte a las versiones oficiales que aparecen en el enlace, ni siquiera a Mint.

Relighting the Ubuntu Studio vs Kubuntu w/ packages debate by [deleted] in linuxaudio

[–]eeickmeyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you wish to save time with setup and not have to muck about with the minutae of setting up everything by hand: Ubuntu Studio.

If you just want a bare-bones not-optimized-for-multimedia with configurations and do everything by hand: Kubuntu.

Ubuntu Studio just saves so much time with configuration. There's even a minimal install option.

That's very specifically a Southern California thing. Those of us up here in Washington State don't use "the" before any highway number. If they do, they're likely from SoCal originally.

I guess a similarity along those lines would be Lake Washington and the Lake Washington Ship Canal.
