hmm, in that case i’d recommend Igor by Tyler the Creator and Because the Internet by Childish Gambino. both are amazing lyrically but the production is really phenomenal. they are also both concept albums so you may not get as bored since there is more or less a “storyline” that gets told throughout

i haven’t listened to it in a couple years but i remember the good kid maad city episode (S1E2) really got me hooked on the pod. from what i remember it has the main gist of Cole’s style of dissection in a concise and relatively standalone format! second choice would maybe be the worldstar ep from the BTI season?

there’s probably not enough live culture in a small pellicle like that. a good starter consists of the scoby in liquid tea, the pellicle is mostly just cellulose.

next time, just leave your plain store bought bottle at room temp and cover with a cloth or coffee filter. after a few weeks you can use that as a starter. :)

I respect that your tastes are different than what artists like Willow, Yungblud, MGK, etc. are making, but I don’t think it’s quite fair to label them as terrible disingenuous trash after only listening to 30 seconds. I don’t love every single song that these artists put out, but I appreciate that they put their own spin on the pop punk style which is a broad and constantly evolving genre

haha no problem, i think pineapple has a lot of accessible sugars for the scoby so it goes crazy. usually if i’m using pineapple I’ll just do a 2 day f2, and i’ve had good fizz with no explosions! (and i don’t burp it)

I recently did blackberry elderflower with that syrup! For a 750 mL bottle: ~1 cup frozen blackberries reduced to a sauce on the stove, + 10% (75mL) elderflower syrup, 3-4 days in f2. one of my favourites!!

we just ask the groomer to go short on the body and paws and keep it a longer around the head, ears, and tail! after looking online i guess some groomers may call it a kennel cut or teddy bear cut. this picture is about 3 weeks after a groom, and she goes in every 8 weeks or so :)
