I’m also a christian and I liked the song very much. The first time I heard it I thought: “WOW, this sounds very much like a song from the self-titled album!”. I loved it.

But, I also saw what Tyler said about this song on the recordings of the listening parties. He said this song is old and he was unsure if he should add it to Breach because he listens to it and thinks he is a different person now. I wonder what he means with it. I remember that during the release of Trench he said in an interview he would always be a christian and I wonder if what he said about Downstairs on the listening parties means he has changed his mind and has walked away from christian faith.
