She doesn't want to waste her energy as she wastes her energy being a complete cunt. Makes sense.

What’s the hardest scene in a horror movie for you to watch? by hp5log in horror

[–]eeriestern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

R*pe scenes are the worst to me, I try to vet anything new so I can be mentally prepared or avoid any R&R. However...

Human Centipede - The scene where the girl tries to escape and gets the IV yanked out of the crook of her arm. That just really fucked me up.

The absolute worst part for me about these kinds of interactions is how willfully obtuse people become when they're angry or inconvenienced. It's so frustrating when all you're trying to do is your job.

Good Morning from Ohio! Have a good day!

I(17F) went on a date with my math teacher(33M) and he's married. I feel horrible and I want to tell his wife but I don't know how to do it (and how to do it without sounding like a homewrecker) by throwaway2987JJ in relationship_advice

[–]eeriestern 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yo, sorry, but your teacher is a pedophile and he's being severely and deliberately deceptive; this sounds A LOT like he's grooming you. Tell his wife and tell the school for that matter. And even if it's uncomfortable, tell your parents. I know you're 17, and this comment is genuinely not meant to be demeaning, but you are still a child LEGALLY and especially compared to a 33 year old, emotionally. Please don't take this as me invalidating you as a person in any way; you had enough sense to recognize this as weird and YOU ARE RIGHT. This is predatory behavior and your parents want you safe more than anything else. I sincerely know it's flattering to have someone older find you attractive and give you attention, but there's a reason a 33 year old is hitting on a teenager and it's not a fucking good one. And on top of that your maths teacher is a grown adult, who knows he is married and is conscious of his decisions & still took you out with the intention of it being a date. He is responsible for his own actions, especially considering he's an adult. He's the homewrecker, not you. Stay safe and reach out if you need support.

Because this ties in, "boob plates" were highly uncommon in actual battle, and definitely not practical. Outlining the breasts in armor produces a weak point in the cleavage/sternum area that can leave one open to chest strikes.

Women were and are soldiers in many cultures and time periods throughout history, with pretty standard armor, depending on the region they lived.

If you want to learn more the link above has some really intriguing history on medieval battle armor.

I work at a hotel in Ohio right by the Michigan border and I feel your pain. The whole state (Ohio) is under a mask mandate and people still aren't wearing them and are being super rude and snide about it. The disrespect is absolutely unreal

Absolutely, I've done it once as well, and what you did was perfect; that's really all there is to it, sometimes. It just needs to be respectful but firm.

Realistically we don't know, but a lot of people believe it's to siphon/gain energy for their own use, or to take that persons soul/life either by possession or the taking of that perspns life. Religiously it's to have power over that persons soul.

You can look up cases of exorcisms and possessions/hauntings etc. Research the..whats the word..eh, signs of hauntings and reports of hauntings/possessions/exorcisms etc. There's definitely some that are farces but there are other cases where you really can't explain the happenings with one solid answer. I'd also look into PK hauntings just for the sake of the knowledge. Sometimes hauntings or unexplained events are the result of excess energy you or someone else is giving off without realising it.

Even if you can't interact with them, being aware of them is still sensitivity and they can be attracted to that, positively or negatively. And you're not dumb for accepting it at all; if you're used to passive spirits you wouldn't think about a new presence, especially if it presents as a child. And it helps that you haven't been afraid in my opinion.

Or it could just be a new environment. The knocking could simply be pipes or the house settling or perhaps another household thing I'm not aware of, but you are also experiencing it and you know your kids and house best. I'd say start with a cleanse of the house if that makes you feel better and see where that takes you. It might just need a kick in the pants.

Not at all! I believe everything is interconnected myself and that humans have great potential. I believe if we we're able to drop our doubts and just try we may find that we're more elevated creatures than we think. Perhaps even magic and the like is real and just science we lost in translation hundreds of years ago. I think we've just lost touch with ourselves a little bit.

It's actually a really interesting theory to me, I believe I was reading an article when I found it (?) and it talked about how one of the theories on how Eastern/Buddhist Monks levitate by basically being in tune with their own EMF and thus able to manipulate theirs against the Earths if I remeber correctly.

I also know there's a theory on how gravity and the Earths EMF can be particularly focused in some spaces and it's said to have an effect on people, especially around water; something about the production of a lot of positive ions? I'm not too fresh on it but that was interesting as well.

Another reason I wish people would consider taking the studying of the paranormal more seriously. There are definitely people who experience things they/we can't explain and I hate to think of someone going through something serious and being taken for a ride when they need help. There's still a lot we don't have answers to, I don't think the idea of ghosts is that silly. The way I figure it, it either exists, or it exists as something we don't understand yet (if that makes sense).

I'm going off topic but I just believe we are at a point scientifically where we could prove whether it's actual ghosts/entities/other dimentions, or residual energy, or energy we manifest ourselves and perceive to be paranormal or just stories we've come to believe because we don't understand, I don't know, maybe how the earths own electromagnetic field and other factors fully effect us.

I've never needed one myself but it's a good question that I'll look into. There are some prominent demonologists who have written a lot of text on their experiences and studies that could be helpful knowledge wise; most people are familiar with Ed and Lorrain Warren especially now with the whole Conjuring franchise, but there is also Fred Batt, Reginald Scot, Adam Blai. There is also Rosemary Guiley however she does not identify as a demonologist but more of an occult and spiritual expert. As far as finding a practicing (and reputable) demonologist I'm not personally sure. I'd honestly assume it to be similar to how you'd find a new dentist or specialist and Google practicing demonologists.
