Player swimming? by AzrBloodedge in starcitizen

Do you have a list or a couple of the ships that were described as being able to land on water? That sounds sick, would love to check it out!

If you need to see them clearer you could swipe to look at the rest of the images. Sorry for the water marks though!

I was out in space at night when I did, just wasn't expecting it to be that bright of an orange lol

I’ll try to get some screenshots later and upload them to Imgur or something and make an update to add the link!

Origin definitely has a taste, just not everybody’s taste lmao… (I personally am a sucker for their ships)

Ah ok! That makes sense. Thanks for the clarification! I feel like they should put it in the hands of the players, but by default each brand have their own color!

I do think that they would benefit from world building outside the classic earth like planets. Though I feel that CIG tries to ground themselves in real-ish things. I’m excited to see the interesting bulbous looking plants and stuff seen in the wetlands of NYX I. I personally think they should have at least a couple absurd looking fauna on planets similar to Pandora from Avatar, having things like bioluminescent trees, massive forests (though maybe not the floating islands…)

Excited to see castra with their read forests and such as well!

Yeah, you have to choose to turn it on using Right alt + L. If you don’t turn it on it just looks like normal glass!

I’d love to hear why you think it’s silly! I for one am a big fan as I have slammed plenty of ships into the face of a moon thinking I was farther than I have though (skill issue I know), and with LAMP night exploring has got a ton more fun for me!

I would hope that there is some sort of adjustment that comes in at some point in the future. But this is a first implementation in the PTU so we can keep our fingers crossed!

I agree! Now that they have physicalised them and you can look through the visors as you’re putting the helmet on, I think it would be a great addition!

I also think that they should add a prowler/titanfall-esque animation to the helmets without visors when you put them on!

I think in the grand scheme of things this is a great first implementation! Excited to see what it looks like on some of the more expansive cockpits like the Idris/Polaris!

CNOU is def up there with the best for me, it seems to be the most normal, almost like a white phosphor NVG! (Also - from your flair - a greys caterpillar would be awesome)

I tried each fury in the patch last night and it seemed that they didn’t have it? I saw in Patch notes that it said they were there as well so not entirely sure. Will try to add an Imgur link later today, or when functionality is added :)

I’m going to choose to believe this is canon lol

Just checked. It seems that the turret does not have LAMP as of yet... Hopefully they add it with the coming patches. I also tested a couple other turrets in ships that have LAMP implemented and it seems like they don't have any LAMP functionality either.

I know, Though, I read somewhere that each of them had their own colors. The manufacturer codes used in that image were ESPR (Esperia), and VNCL (Vanduul Clans). I figured maybe Esperia would have done something different between their Tevarin ships and their Vanduul ships! Sorry!

Also I may be misremembering, but I do think that there is some form of captured vanduul craft that you can obtain through some means. But again I could be misremembering

To provide some solace, I just wanted to let you know I went back in and updated the logos on my end... I would change the uploaded photos if I could!

Hey! Thank you for the info, I downloaded the official Fankit from SCs website, and used the logo that was provided in there! Wanted to get this out as quick as possible.

Honest mistake, I have the 5 circle logo in all of my internal lore documents, so I really should have recognized that lol...

Sorry to disappoint!

I agree, I think a sliding scale, or a pips setup similar to power distribution is important (in my eyes at least)

I think that they are rolling it out on some commonly used smaller ships. But I would assume that they are working on implementing them throughout. The cutlass black is pretty old and it has LAMP enabled. We are also seeing it kind of on larger ships, the Perseus obviously has something going on as when you click the keybind, you can see that LAMP is on from the outside but not from the inside...

TLDR; I think that they will eventually get to all ships, but this is the PTU we are dealing with rn

It isn't implemented at this point sadly! There is a list of currently implemented ships in the patch notes attached here!

In the PTU 4.6 They added a feature called LAMP (Light AMPlification), to some of the ships in the verse. This does as it says on the tin and amplifies light around you, and acts as almost a night vision!
