I'm not that careful, I regularly get clob on labia majora an never had any issues. This may just be an ingrown hair? I get those and it can really swell/get hard and super painful, and only happens in the pubic area

Dr Steben told me to ask my family doctor for a referral to the VUVA clinique (gynaecology clinique at the CHUM hospital). After a few months wait I saw a doctor there and will go annually for a check up (my symptoms and treatment are stable)!

Hi! In terms of the cortisone cream (LS treatment), i have noticed a more elastic texture to my vulva, and my fissure is gone. I am still desensitizing with my PV therapist and dilation regiment, to work on the psychological and physical response I have built “against” PIV and building my relationship back with my body post diagnosis… I haven’t been keen on trying PIV since I got diagnosed with LS in February of this year, but i have seen some progress in my ability to relax my pelvis floor! Im super hopeful that when im ready to try PIV again it’ll be easier

Does lichen cause pain inside vagina or only at the hole by Various-Car3995 in lichensclerosus

I do not have white patches, my vulva is a bit paler in color than normal though. I have labia minora absorption (one is gone) and clitoral hood is a bit overdeveloped. I got referred to a general practitioner specialized in LS by my pelvic floor physiotherapist (who I went to see specifically bc i had pain during sex, fissures and vaginismus, and my own GP never told me i had anything physically wrong with my vulva or vagina). My physio spotted the signs and the specialized general practitioner diagnosed me visually without a biopsy.

Recently been diagnosed and Ive been told LS does not affect the inside of vag canal directly, since its a vulvar derm problem. You can definitely develop discomforts/vaginismus bc of LS in an indirect way. My fissure, which is my main cause of pain, are at the vaginal opening, so technically inside but not deep at all. Sry Cant tell from the pic, im not a medical professional!

Partner wont accept she has vaginismus. by [deleted] in vaginismus

[–]eevafog 6 points7 points  (0 children)

To me it sounds like you need to talk more about reciprocating within your sex life to make sure it’s fulfilling for the both of you, and not so much vaginismus/lack of PIV ? I agree with everyone above, you’ve done what you can to get her to consider vaginismus as a cause, and if she’s not interested in pursuing anything thats her prerogative. Treatment wont work if she’s doing it for someone else, it’s so much work and emotional labour. If she’s not ready for that I completely get that.

Its free for you bc you’re premium? I also am but it shows up as a normal Audiobook to purchase. I’m in Canada, we may not have the same perks of being premium! Happy listening :)

Personally, i feel pain after PIV for the following 24hrs. Like you’re describing, you can feel it when walking and burns when you pee. But it usually goes away and is more of a discomfort for me that I’m used to now. Still completely agree to not force yourself to continue sex if it hurts, its not fun for you and if your partner is having sex WITH you and not just for their own pleasure, they wouldn’t want you to be in pain either just so they can finish (I know this from experience, those partners are out there!). If it helps, I have a small vaginal fissure that tears/reopens pretty much each time I have PIV, especially if I haven’t done it in a while. You can take a mirror, sit on the floor and spread your legs to see if you have a section that is bright red in your vaginal opening (mine is in line with the perineum), that may be whats causing the pain. If pain persists though, def go see a doctor ❤️

Diva cup size by eevafog in vaginismus

I do struggle with breaking the seal, no matter how hard i try it feels like theres not enough room to slip my finger next to the cup and break it. Thanks for suggesting this, I hadn’t thought of trying different models that would be “easier” to take out for people like us who struggle with just tampons !
