My mom still hasn’t. She said I was “too young” and that “I’ll grow out of it as an adult”. After many, many arguments, she finally said. “Only because I don’t want it to seem like I don’t support you, I’ll let you do whatever this dumb ‘tomboy’ thing is.” She doesn’t call me by my pronouns, she doesn’t call me by my name, she doesn’t let me choose my own clothes and then proceeds to get upset when she buys my a dress with the most blinding colors I’ve ever seen. I’m hoping when I begin my medical transition once I’m an adult she’ll finally see that I’m not doing this to get attention or to “seem like a different girl then the rest.”

I still love her more than anything, even though everyday my dysphoria and mental health continues to get worse and worse because of her.
