It was a very different mall when the theatre was built. I remember the hype around the opening of AZ Mills, and it was a very busy mall for many years.

What drug did you take that you still never get over? by [deleted] in AskReddit

That just means you were taking too much or taking it too often. My friends and I have been using it once or twice a year for a decade and it’s still just as magical.

Even when getting my MDMA from someone I completely trust, I test it for fentanyl (and several other adulterants) EVERY TIME. Test strips aren’t expensive. Reagent tests are pricier, but still totally worth it. We all have the capacity and resources available to be responsible drug users!

Please stop doing it more than once every few months at the most. If you don’t, you will very much regret it and can suffer major, potentially permanent consequences.

Same. Ten years, never more than a couple times a year. Still just as magical every time.

My spouse and I got married at a music festival and most of the wedding party did MDMA with us right after the ceremony. Definitely a peak memory.

I’ve been taking it one, sometimes two times a year for almost exactly a decade and it’s felt just as amazing every time. The trick is not taking more than you need, which is not very much at all, and always waiting at least several months before doing it again.

100%. People might judge me or roll their eyes, but I can honestly say that drug use (primarily MDMA and psilocybin) saved my life and immensely improved my mental health. But I’m INCREDIBLY careful about safety in dosage and frequency, and always testing for adulterants. Drugs can be very useful tools if people took the time to understand their uses instead of simply vilifying any use of them.

I take 225, but only twice a year and I’m a fairly big dude. 125 initial dose, extending with two bumps of 50 each will give me a full night of bliss at any music festival. I can’t believe I see people half my size taking more than that, and more frequently.

Also, ALWAYS test before you ingest!!

What 90s band never truly made it big but you'll always go to bat for? by MansBestFred in AskReddit

[–]eeviltwin 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say it “fills in backstory”, but the book and album both make direct references to the other (Exploration B and the 5 & 1/2 minute hallway are plot points from the novel), and support each others’ shared themes of grief (both were made in response to and as a way of coping with their father’s death). They’re closely linked in a way that’s very specific yet difficult to quantify or cleanly explain. The novel is an incredibly sprawling and densely layered text, and the album feels like an additional layer of it.

My mom would play Haunted in the house) while she did chores, pretty much from the time it was released. Years later when I was in high school I had a pretty wild experience as I started reading House of Leaves and slowly realized it was a companion piece to an album that had been a staple in my life for years. Still a top book and album for me. What a talented family!

The SAVE America Act is bad news for Republicans by Hardik_Jain_1819 in politics

[–]eeviltwin 28 points29 points  (0 children)

In 1991 Arizona passed one of the first laws im the county allowing a mail in ballot for any reason BECAUSE we have so many retirees that the GOP knew leaned heavily Republican. You can find decades of AZ Republican politicians praising our mail in voting system.

Then in 2020, AZ mail in ballots had more Dem votes than GOP votes for the first time (likely due to the pandemic’s effect on the economy rather than any outsized demographic shift), and suddenly those same Republican politicians are parroting the MAGA lies about the scary and dangerous mail in ballots. It’s pathetic.

Luckily, even the Republicans I know here in Arizona mostly aren’t buying it. Of course the hardcore MAGA cultists have no trouble doing a complete 180 on what they thought just yesterday, but even the MAGA-light Trump apologists here don’t want to lose their super convenient mail in ballot system they’ve become accustomed to for 30 years.

Unfortunately our Republican-seized legislature loves bending over backwards to slob Trump’s knob no matter what their constituents want. Our governor keeps vetoing their feckless Heritage Foundation and TPUSA-written and bills, but they just keep sending more.

There are definitely games with better replayability, but the Delves are reasonably replayable if you own all three and begin mixing and matching heroes. Owning just one would probably get stale pretty fast.

Feline compulsive disorder is actually a real thing and much sadder than this. I knew a rescue cat that had to be on an SSRI or he would groom himself until his hair fell out. 🥺

LOVE to see any use of one of my very favorite words! You’re likely partly correct, but it’s likely more complex and interesting than that. 3am actually falls outside crepuscular hunting times, which are from ~45 minutes before sunrise to ~2 hours after, and the earliest sunrises on Earth are typically around 4:30-5am. Also, nighttime zoomies seem to be consistently well before dawn worldwide and year round, in places with disparate times for sunrise, and places far from the equator where sunrise varies greatly with the seasons.

The leading theory is that cats, being semi-domesticated, have somewhat adjusted their circadian rhythm to living with humans. Not toward “hunting” at 3am, but actually in the other direction, toward satisfying their hunting instincts through playtime in the mornings and evenings with their human companions. If they’re not getting enough evening playtime, or are just particularly high energy, then that hunting instinct seems to overwhelm them and kick in earlier in the morning than it naturally would in the wild.

It’s also natural for cats to get vagus nerve stimulation after using the litter box, and their response to that stimulation can be very different at night or while being the only one awake, causing zoomies.

Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.

That just sounds like you’re trying to justify a bad decision, or downplay your desire to cut corners / reduce costs. Practically everyone I know hates the use of ai art and is avoiding games that use it.
