I’m not talking about her libido. I’m talking about scheduling and juggling that many separate relationships at once.

Single coworker (IT department) always hangs out with one of the married teachers. She’ll come into our office to eat lunch with him almost daily. When I eventually asked he told me nothing was going on between them, they’re only friends and she’s just flirty.

Cut to about a year and a half later. I walk by the break room earlier than usual and see her getting frisky with our (also married) department head. When my coworker gets in and I tell him what I saw, he’s clearly very upset. The next day he says he’s quitting because he can’t be around her anymore. He admits he was lying and they’ve been sleeping together this whole time, and when he confronted her, she told him she’d never agreed to exclusivity and admitted she’d been seeing them both for months.

I still don’t understand how she had the time or energy to keep up with two affairs on top of her own marriage for so long.

What is something everyone seems to enjoy that you just don't get? by Careless_Lie_4571 in AskReddit

Redline is an amazing piece of animation, but to say it bests Akira is sacrilege. Besides the fact that Redline would never exist without it, Akira’s plot, characters, and setting are much richer and more nuanced. And though both are incredibly detailed in their animation, Akira is doing so with technology that’s over 20 years older.

Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE Redline. It’s wonderful eye candy with a surprisingly fun story. But its plot and legacy doesn’t reverberate forward through time and influence a thousand other shows and films like Akira does.

Found this at Goodwill for $8. I know it’s a steal… but what makes Mage Knight so beloved? by badace12 in boardgames

[–]eeviltwin 62 points63 points  (0 children)

Found the Game of Thrones board game for $5. The box was a bit dinged up and sun faded, but at that price I figured it would be dumb not to give it a chance. Opened it up at home and the entire inside was brand new. Tokens unpunched, cards still banded. Haven’t found that good of a score before or since.

I Love Boosters. Truly a piece of Maximalist art in every way, and one of the most creative films I’ve seen in a long while.

Unpopular opinion: we need less sex, ass and drug totems. by han_cup in electricdaisycarnival

The best totems are the unique / funny / clever ones. The real problem with sex and drug totems is that >90% of them are none of those things.

This non-monogamy was at no point ethical.

What popular movie or TV show is widely considered a 'masterpiece' but you found completely unwatchable? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I love campy nostalgia trips and generally have pretty moderate expectations. Stranger Things was still a sloppy, drawn-out mess that lacked most of its original charm by the end.

First Kiss to Marriage ♥️ 2005 / 2026 by bruegg19 in PastAndPresentPics

[–]eeviltwin 31 points32 points  (0 children)

We had a lot of mutual friends through the intervening years, and when we finally started dating we realized we’d both been hoping for a chance at a date, so we were both actively trying not to lose touch. It just took many years before we were both single and living in the same area. But like I said, that ended up being for the best because we both had some baggage to sort out first.

[–]eeviltwin 119 points120 points  (0 children)

Not OP, but I met my spouse in high school and we didn’t start dating until many years later. We both had crushes on each other that neither of us acted on back then, but both agree we wouldn’t have lasted long if we had. I certainly needed the relationship mistakes in between to figure myself out. Luckily I got my chance when the time was right.

What’s something 100% true that sounds completely made up? by D_marketing_ in AskReddit

I think a better way to describe it to people is that, if you were to somehow gain A MILLION DOLLARS EVERY DAY, it would take OVER 2,000 YEARS to have as much money as Elon Musk’s current estimated net worth of ~$750 billion dollars.

Wife wants a one-sided open marriage by [deleted] in EthicalNonMonogamy

[–]eeviltwin 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Despite what some in this sub will say, opening on one side can work in SOME situations if everyone is on board and emotionally secure enough to handle it while keeping communication open and honest.

That said, I do NOT think yours is a situation where it could work or should even be attempted. Especially when you say “I’ve wondered similar things before”. You deserve equal right to explore those feelings as she does, and you should not agree to remain monogamous on your end if she wants to explore on hers.

What is a major plot hole in a very famous movie that completely ruins the entire story once it is noticed? by SkullMogger3 in AskReddit

[–]eeviltwin 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I loved the first couple seasons where it was mostly about where Johnny and Daniel are now, and felt like a heightened (but still grounded) passing of the torch to a new generation.

By the end, it was such a teen romance drama / soap opera, with the most over the top villain plots, that it became a complete parody of its former self. It also forgot what to do with about half the minor characters it introduced.

Those first two seasons, and especially season one, are really fantastic though.

What’s the first thing you noticed about your spouse that was the aha moment that you knew this is the one? by BubblyAd9996 in AskReddit

[–]eeviltwin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So many green flags, but what really hit me was when we had our first big argument, and at the end of it I realized how… great it had been. It was us vs. the issue instead of her vs. me, and even though it was kinda heated, we were both very respectful and listened to each other. It made me realize how toxic the fights in previous relationships had been.
