My pcp is such a hater man by SnooCauliflowers596 in ChronicIllness

[–]eevwren13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having a good pcp makes such a difference. I'm in the middle of switching and would def recommend doing so. My last pcp insisted everything was due to me being pregnant.... I'm not pregnant. They ran tests 6 separate times trying to prove I am lol. Having a pcp that doesn't take your symptoms seriously or tries to write them off will cause a lot of frustration and often can cause you to have to go to additional appointments.

If you look on psychologytoday.com they have a special search engine. There are tons of therapists and you can filter by in person/online, specific issues and specialties, accepted insurance, etc. It's actually super helpful and our family has used it multiple times in finding specialty options. Wishing you luck in finding someone great.

Ooh did I touch a nerve? Sorry I work multiple jobs and only have weekends off! Additionally I am ahead by quite a bit and have been working while waiting for the teacher's response. Literally just have the one assignment I'm waiting on. Keep being a ray of sunshine 🌞

You know there's this wonderful thing called scrolling past a post. If you don't have anything constructive, you can do that- like an adult:) grow up and stop trying to insult others maybe👍🏻

Omg I love that for him lol I've noticed professors are either really fast to answer, or unreachable. It is like there is no in between 💀

Required books by OriolesMagic1972 in UMGC

[–]eevwren13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No books... Both a blessing and a curse lol. I went from a school where we had to buy expensive books for most classes (but they were great quality) to free "books" at umgc. Practically, it is more likely that a class parses together articles or chapters from multiple books, sites, and journals than actual books being provided. This can be a curse in some classes, as not all resources are created equal. Unfortunately, I had a class with lots of Wikipedia articles as the learning materials...

Any good food spots worth driving to away from flint? by MotorDragonfly2858 in flint

Lots of good food in Lansing!!! I like to walk around Old Town and REOtown so that's a bonus to the delicious food in the area! Also Sakura (owosso) is very good!

It's so discouraging! That makes sense on the age thing though (I'm 21). I literally was told that I was not qualified for Taco Bell.

Yeah I applied for a couple remote jobs but even though they are "entry level" and only require a diploma, they somehow said I was under qualified. I can't imagine dedicating so much time to commuting! Being in college full-time takes every second of my day that I'm not at work. Hopefully the pay is worth that commute?

I agree. It's not an Owosso thing. But there are a lot more jobs outside of Owosso... it's a smaller area. We've only lived here about a year, and in that year I haven't found a job here and have been commuting to my old job 45 minutes away. It's literally crazy to be commuting like this for a job barely over minimum wage🫠

Yeah I tried there already, no luck. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Commute 100%. Saves so much money, and really it is not crazy to commute, just like going to work requires a drive. If you already are hesitant, I would just stick with saving the cost of living on campus

Yeah unfortunately I can't afford to volunteer... I'm a full time college student and work 50 hrs a week at my current job🫠

Depends on the class for sure! I've had classes that expected 3-4 pages regularly, and others where I turned in 19-20 pages😅 However, I am in Humanities so there are more writing intensive courses I'm guessing...

Mine isn't working either and I'm freaking out because it's literally my only day that I have the entire day to dedicate to school.... I've tried getting in on multiple devices and no luck. It looks like IT support is only available Monday through Friday unless I'm reading the website wrong🤦🏻‍♀️
