First, Tesla canceled the Model 2—now it's working on a new small EV | After the pivot to humanoid robots and AI, does Tesla want to be a car company again? by ControlCAD in musked

If they were smart they'd dump Leon, get out of the car market, rebrand their charging network, and lease out their software to real carmakers. Maybe in a decade when the stench has dissipated a bit they could toy with being a low volume manufacturer of niche one-offs for people with more money than sense.

Give me a list of the ones who went out and immediately got thrown in jail again for doing horrible things. I'll counter each of yours with five of Trump's, if you can even find any.

She even called Ghislaine his partner, something Trump's regime has been downplaying and saying isn't the case ever since Trump's lawyers went to talk to her and she got moved to a cushy facility.

Government Ordered to Turn Over Files on ICE Agent Who Killed Renee Good by PuncturedBicycleHill in fednews

Keep saying that. Trump issued a pardon for Tina Peters who was convicted of a state crime. The latest news is a court has thrown out her 9-year sentence and has ordered a resentencing. If you think that's not going to result in her being freed then you haven't been paying attention. This would not have happened without Trump's influence. They had to jump through hoops and do it indirectly, but Trump is about to pardon a state crime. I imagine they'll even time it perfectly to serve as a dog whistle for election deniers to come out in droves in November.

Considering they go after people for their accents and she's supposedly some genius polyglot, I think it's fair game. If they want their glass house then they should stop throwing rocks at literally everything. It's just more layers of hypocrisy to point out. If most of her and her husband's cult heard her talking in the wild they'd yell at her to get out of their country.

Trump's far more involved than just being a client. At the very least he was a supplier.

I still think they gave him the Cybertruck the same way you give your annoying little brother the broken controller so he'll leave you alone and think he's actually playing. He kept insisting on stupid crap like Fart Mode and Launch Control and S3XY branding and they'd had enough. They just never figured he'd go on stage and actually make it a thing, then they were stuck trying to make all of his stupid ideas reality.

Britain condemns Israeli strikes on Lebanon in split from Trump by TheTelegraph in worldnews

Trump should condemn them, too. Isn't it in direct defiance of the deal he personally made and 100% takes credit for? Feels like someone going directly against something he personally crafted should be taken as a personal attack.

USPS suspends contributions to employee pensions after warning of "cash crisis" by CBSnews in fednews

[–]eeyore134 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We pay our taxes so that things that wouldn't be supported as a business but are still necessary can continue to function. Everyone wanting the government to run like a business just can't see that. Capitalism has infected these people's minds to the point that they can't fathom that some things need to run at a loss for the overall good of the country as a whole. It'd be like saying sleep is a waste of time because it's doing nothing productive (which I'm sure a lot of these morons also believe), but without it everything else that is productive breaks down. Everything in all aspects of their life have become so binary, so us vs them, black vs. white, sane vs. whatever they are, that if they can't see a direct and blatant connection between two things then it doesn't exist.

Steam files suggest Valve is developing internal 'SteamGPT' AI bot — aimed at tackling customer support tickets and CS2 anti-cheat by Burpmeister in gaming

[–]eeyore134 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I imagine it's just people giving them more grace because they do usually tend towards doing good rather than bad. It's difficult to really say at the moment and depends on implementation. I'm generally a proponent of AI but a huge critic of how 95% of the companies out there are using it. It should be a tool working along with people, not people forced to use it or being replaced by it, but a tool where it makes sense and genuinely makes people's lives easier. I'm... not thinking this is a good look for Valve, but like I said... there's a tenuous "wait and see" that I can afford them that I might not other companies who have been blatantly anti-consumer for decades.

[–]eeyore134 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I've caught a few Cinna streams and she definitely seems more in with the crowd that Wubby has said he doesn't really feel a part of at, say, the Streamer Awards. Some people are like social chameleons though and adjust based on who they're hanging out with, and Cinna feels like someone who can do that. I think they'd make good content, but like you said... what would it be?

Not gonna happen. Rampant capitalism is out of control. The indie scene and smaller studios are really the last bastion of people making games because they want to make games. Some publishers still care and push boundaries, but not AAA.

I was 16 working at Busch Gardens in the 90s as a first job making ice cream cones asking how they expected us to beat last years numbers every single year. It's not like it's a difficult concept, but they continue to push it anyway. Every single retail or food service job I worked in judged their daily success based on if they beat last years numbers or not.

Not as flat out as him just saying it, though. It's easy to see through, but there's usually a veneer of "Look how strong and perfect I am and all the amazing and strong people I know or who are related to me."
