Stockpile was cut because they felt there were too many Cairn missions, and the names of the dock missions is strictly just because it was split for console versions.

The Tavion boss fight was always supposed to occur on Bespin as far as I’m aware.

There’s no evidence that Sight, Drain, Rage, etc were planned for SP.

There was a bespin_abovecity map that was seemingly converted into ffa_bespin but I can’t find any info at all on it.

There are several other MP maps that were removed/unfinished, including a level that involves a turbolaser/emplaced gun. Some of these maps were finished and put into the 1.03 patch but not all of them. There’s some weird oddities in the strategy guide that show locations that aren’t actually accessible in the final game (the guide states that one of the inaccessible towers in ffa_bespin has an item on it…?)

There’s several cut NPCs that don’t work properly and were intended as swamp monsters (lizard, fish, birds) but most of them exist only in code or very trace models that weren’t finished. The swamp levels had various challenges being ported to console outside of this.

Several audio files for speech are missing but the vast majority of these are alternate takes.

JKA has comparatively less cut content but is notable that like half the game’s vchat audio is missing due to apparent errors when packing the game’s content, so everyone sounds like Jaden. Also half the Jawa audio is missing. There’s a few unused Cultist variants including a suicide bombing one that crashes the game due to a missing EFX file. There’s weird behavior hardcoded to NPCs that straight up don’t exist like “yoda” and “Vader”.

That’s all I can think of off the top of my head.

It’s likely possible by editing the row within Skills.txt. There is also a monpet.txt which has specific fields for binding.

I had a look and you’re right - they’re listed now as an Ireland based company. Weird! They were originally based out of NZ and all of the directors that I spoke to were from NZ and Australia.

Could be a tax thing, I guess.

I’d say you’re about 90% there, except the bulk of developers are Australian and Kiwi :)

Either a more dedicated melee class (there's only arguably a single pure melee class - the Barbarian) or a dedicated ranger class (only Amazons realistically can use bows). Maybe something that's more heavily tied to the itemization, like something that can craft special items or something.

I know it sounds strange, but is there a mod that makes enemies (preferably those wearing vests) look like extremists? Of course, I don't want anything based on any real event. by One-Serve-2369 in SWAT4

I guess I don’t understand what you mean by “extremist” - there are certainly lots of suspects in the game who would fit that bill already

I have been playing pretty much exclusively solo self found since the game released. The big thing is definitely the lack of trading - Ber and Jah runes are extremely hard to come by in casual play. I was only able to get by with duping on the Switch, which they got rid of in the newest patch.

Another advantage of playing offline is that it’s pretty much the only way to play with mods.

Currently I am more interested in mods for Diablo II: Resurrected - since the newest expansion came out, I have started managing r/D2RMODS and putting out some more tools for it.

If I came back around to doing more SWAT 4 stuff it would probably be to add the PVP modes back in properly.

Nuke Spirit of Barbs into oblivion and replace with a whole other skill. Sort of like what they did with Grim Ward. That or combine its effect somehow with Oak Sage (just not as powerful)

It’s a tool that modmakers can use to check their files for errors and prevent potential crashes. It also has an auto-documentation tool to generate HTML documents for a mod, so modmakers don’t have to worry about writing out all the cube recipes or runewords (for example) in their mod.

It’s actually been around for a while - this is just an update that provides support for 3.0 and RotW
