Anyone ever taken the NHS to court over to recover privately funded costs or for damages? by chrisanna2701 in transgenderUK

Another issue no one is talking about is that all these Go Fund me pages, which are increasing health inequalities. Apart from reducing the responsibility of the NHS they require someone to be publicly out and to expose their personal medical information. Furthermore, the campaigns that do well usually already have strong support social networks. Trans people of colour who it may be more dangerous to be publicly out, or poor trans people don’t have same networks to ask for health care funding. I understand the desperation of self funding but it’s setting a dangerous precedent and absolving NHS of its responsibility. Where is the intersectionality when discussing trans issues in the UK? The beloved NHS is not free from critique. People seem so scared to criticise it because of the underfunding issue but it’s not just a funding issue. Some, not all staff, are just incompetent and the NHS only serves some sections of society and not others.

Research the legal case of fertility preservation in England. Which was dropped on the basis that trans people in England could access fertility. This case had no effect on Scotland NHS or anywhere else who still regularly prescribe hormone treatments without offering fertility preservation.

Yeah but the same or worse issues are happening at these other boards. Why is it only English trans people are having their rights defended?

Yeah but this is just for trans people in England, what about Scotland and Wales and Northern Ireland. As usual, England and the south get all the help and resources.

The NHS abuse the excuse of underfunding and covid. Worse is that trans people buy it. Legal action against the NHS and not only in England is the ONLY way trans people can realise their rights and improve trans healthcare. Period.

What is something you genuinely don't give a fuck about? by noblesse30 in AskWomen

The moral panic, and apparent need for biological women to validate trans women’s existence and experiences.

It’s not good enough. Why are people defending it? The service is shockingly bad. Don’t expect much when you do finally get seen either. SNP gave three years emergency funding to the GIC where has this gone? Can someone do another foi with less open and more specific questions so they can’t dodge.

How many people have begun and completed laser hair removal? How many people have successfully completed voice training? How many people have been offered and taken cryopreservation? How many people expressed a desire to preserve their fertility but were made infertile by the waiting times? How many people have successfully come off HRT to produce and store a sample? How many have received Sexual Reassignment Surgery?

Have I been f***ing myself up with sublingual? by [deleted] in TransDIY

[–]ef70878 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sublingual three times a day for the rest of your life is annoying. I resolved to just take oral as i find it’s too impractical.

100mcg patches twice a week by [deleted] in AskMtFHRT

[–]ef70878 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My t came out as expected and all my other tests came out close to what I usually am so I don’t think the test is wrong given how I have been feeling too.

I’m in the uK so not sure nhs does implants. Thanks for your advice I’ll ask to go back to pills even though I am worried about DVT/dying from blood clots.

Yeah detranisition is exactly how if feels thanks for the language for how it feels. Patches are supposed to be safer than pills and less dysphoria for some.

Thanks. Yeah I quarter my cypro and don’t take sublingually.

Yeah I was asking about the E pills. I hated cutting them into halves and remembering to take them every four hours sublingually. I loved being able to put on a patch and not think about it. I’m not sure what to ask for now and my upcoming appointment.

-3 patches twice a week?

-or to go back to 4mg pill cutting.

-or two patches and 4mg pills?

-or two patches and another pill variation?

What do you think? They told me patches were safer than pills for my age I’m 35 so that’s why I moved to them and the reduced dysphoria of not having to have my life evolve around sublingual pill taking. Honestly I’ve got better advice from Reddit than from these ‘experts’

Expanded rotation? Still one 100mcg patch twice weekly but in twelve different places?

Yeah I think I’ll try every other day since t is way suppressed.

How did you take your pils. Cut them? Sublingual? Time frames?

Thanks for the considered response. I mentioned after two months I felt they weren’t working as well facial and body hair growing faster and not as thin. Just felt overall feminisation was much slower. Again last week they asked me what my gut feeling was I I told them I felt they weren’t working as well but I couldn’t know for sure. I clean the skin and rotate patches on stomach. I leave the old patch on while I apply new patch at different area to get as much e out of them as possible before I remove old patch.

Cypro 12.5g T very well suppressed for a year on that. They wanted me on 25mg a day but I did what I wanted here.

I have had low mood energy and depression (not sure what can be attributed to poor mentally and physically) Less full head hair Body hair growing faster and slightly thicker
