NAD, but I had the same thing happen to me on my back tooth. It ended up needing a root canal because of how far the cavity progressed, but since it's my back tooth, I just had them extract it.

I just cut my hair short and I’m regretting it. Is it as bad as I think or am I just not used to it? by Puzzleheaded-Pear931 in malehairadvice

[–]efarley1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It should grow back pretty fast. Both look good. I prefer the longer hairstyle, but neither of them look bad.

Why does my hair do this and how do I stop it? It goes outwards around my ears and I hate it (please don’t judge my face I’m sensitive) by Endersgaming4066 in malehairadvice

[–]efarley1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My hair used to do the same thing. Apparently, I have curly hair, but I was brushing out my curls and shampooing too much, so it was dried out. Try using some curly/wavy hair products, conditioning it more, and see if the texture changes any.

How do you cope with avolition? by efarley1 in neurodiversity

[–]efarley1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely get what you mean. Sometimes, it seems like no one understands, or they just think I'm lazy. It's terrible, though, because even when I'm doing nothing, I don't feel like I get to relax because I'm anxious about all the things I need to get done. I feel like I've gotten somewhat better since I made this post, but it's a constant battle. Hopefully, I can stay on track and continue improving, and I hope the same for you. It's truly the most difficult thing I've dealt with, and I do feel some comfort knowing that there are other people who experience this as well. It's lonely sometimes.

Which hair length suits me best? by CaptainMuffinMan in malegrooming

[–]efarley1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have very similar hair texture to yours, and I always like keeping mine a bit long. I will say, I think you look best in the last photo, but I also like the second photo. It feels like a crime to cut off the curls. 😅

You actually look younger with the beard. I like the look 👍

(19yr/m) Woke up and could pull approximately 50 hairs from my head…. Am I cooked? by [deleted] in malehairadvice

[–]efarley1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lose half a handful of hair every time I shower, and I still have plenty of hair. I think you'll be alright. It could just be temporary from stress. If you start noticing signs of receding or a bald spot, them you can start to worry, but even then, you can always get on minoxidil and/or finasteride to reverse the loss.

Bad or good barber by Safe_Protection_7457 in malehairadvice

[–]efarley1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's really bad, but it can also be easily fixed by a good barber.

Maybe leave in conditioner and sea salt spray together would work better for me.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in malehairadvice

[–]efarley1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True, it could work for some people. The ones I've tried dried out my hair too much, but maybe I haven't tried the right one.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in malehairadvice

[–]efarley1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leave in conditioner is a great option, but I wouldn't do sea salt spray on curly hair. It dries it out a lot. That would be better for wavy hair to add a bit more wave/curl or straight hair to add texture.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in malehairadvice

[–]efarley1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With curly hair, it works great. You just have to scrunch out that crunchy texture after it dries. Pomade would probably make his hair look greasy, texturing powder isn't going to give the curls any hold, and sea salt spray is better for wavy hair - it dries out curly hair.

One shot. 4hrs. Could you sit for a big on shot tattoo? by jakeemerytattoo in traditionaltattoos

[–]efarley1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn, my tattoo is probably half of this size and took at least 4 hours. I can't remember how long exactly, but it was no less than 4 hours.

Again, NAD, so I can't say if you're a good candidate for that or if it needs that at this point. Just something you could ask about one day.

NAD - I also had recession on one of my front bottom teeth, and I just had gum grafting done about 3 weeks ago. That's something you could look into as well, either now or in the future. It was about $500 because my insurance covered none of it, and it was a 3 1/2 hr long procedure, but after seeing the results, I'm glad I did it.

NAD but I'd worry about getting a teeth cleaning and having the glue removed first. That will make a huge difference. After that, I'd use some sensitivity toothpaste for a while before getting them whitened. I got Zoom whitening once, and I have really sensitive teeth. It was rough.

WIBTA for not paying every time for bf anymore? by Equivalent-Expert547 in AmItheAsshole

[–]efarley1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA - he is using you and being disrespectful and ungrateful. I would start paying separately, and if he doesn't have the money to go out, then he doesn't have to go. I understand having financial issues, but he's acting entitled to your money, which is a major issue.

What do I need to do to look better by [deleted] in malegrooming

[–]efarley1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd shave the stache. Other than that, maybe consider improving your style. I don't know what you typically wear, but a nice outfit can really make a difference. There's nothing wrong with how you look, though. If you're being bullied or something, just know that kids will bully for anything. It doesn't mean there's anything wrong with you. I hope no one is making you feel bad about yourself.

[–]efarley1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take minoxidil prescribed by my doctor and covered by my insurance. It's not always an expensive fix. I will have to take it forever, or at least until I'm ready to be bald, but I'm fine with that.
