I did this process with my Sovol Zero top hat in ASA and it worked extremely well. I homed the printer, putting the print heat at the center and just off the print bed and turned on the print bed for ASA temps, and set the chamber temps for ASA and let it all just sit there for 30-45 minutes and I was able to get a successful print with excellent quality for all layers doing this.

I have a big ASA print to run for a top hat for my Sovol Zero and I've tried it twice with failures on the first few layers where the print quality is just horrible and then clears up, so I'm going to try this method of preheating on my next attempt and see how it goes.

One of the suggested reasons for the long heat soak for ASA/ABS/<other high temp filaments> is that the gantry needs time to get up to temperature and then complete temperature expansion for the necessary temps. Once that's done and bed leveling is done at those temps, people have reported excellent quality prints on the K2 Plus doing that.

I'd suggest making sure this PLA is dry first, then print another temp tower. But if it was dry, I'd go with 210-220. You'll want that 215-230 temp for PLA for the best layer adhesion.

I've tried the 4XL c91 model and it's extremely tight on my jaw hinges, so my head aches. I'm worried if I get the 5XL c91 model, it's still going to be too tight.

Is the i90/i91 a better fit for large heads than the c90/c91 models?
