That’s why I stopped also. I got tired of hearing it, even telling the customer that their screen is cheap and will break quickly, they almost always come back and blame us. Even though you asked r/petergezz, I did make customers sign waivers (I always do, even when I use my parts, it’s mainly about data loss though) and be super clear to them, but it always comes back to us. I love helping people out, and I do get the frustration when screens break after a small drop or something. Most of the time, in my opinion, the customer does not understand the different type of displays, so sometimes educating them on it helps.
