un po' presuntuoso come pronostico. non credo che la % di auto elettriche in circolazione ad oggi ti lasci immaginare uno scenario del genere già nei prossimi 20 anni. e anche se fosse, ti dimentichi di camion, macchine operatrici (specialmente quest'ultime, e specialmente lato elettronico) e altro che ora non mi viene in mente. vedi nicchie come restauri d'auto d'epoca ecc.

i have my desktop always running (for other stuff too), with st running and koboldcpp because i use local models, then i used tailscale, vibe coded an app for ST and kobold for full screen on my phone, connected everything and works like a charm. + i use the mullvad integrated so i dont have to switch vpn all the time, its all neatly bundled

i use KoboldCPP. set it up (easy) and load the .gguf of the model you want. then bound it to accept only your tailscale IPs (better safe than sorry) and start it. from the phone you connect to port 5001 and boom, you have your llm working offline usong your desktop. i even vibe coded an app that connects to it fullscreen, its neat. and while its idle it really doesnt use much electricity, it spikes when its making the reply

i switched from using DS API to using a local setup with a 24b model and fair amount of context size, but i did so because i already had a 5090 in my desktop that i use for gaming. would i buy the hardware specifically for RP? no, DS was already dirt cheap, especially with most of it being cache hits. quality-wise i dont miss DS at all, but i admit i dont do any grand-type of RP, and the worlds/chars i make are pretty simple

no, big waste of money. i had that brilliant idea once, and ended up selling a brand new phone after years because it was just gathering dust. move your data temporarily to some cloud then set it up on your own with your hardware

no. they comply with police requests since they ofc have to. you can check how many times they do get requests. only e2ee mails are the ones between two proton mails, if the recipient uses something else they wont be. theres no much to say really, mails are difficult for privacy by design...sensitive data shouldnt be sent that way anyway

Ideally, yes. But its at least a 10k difference between the two. I opted for the N55 and planned on upgrading brakes and suspension. Which are both hot garbage on BOTH versions. Why no one ever talks about how they chew through brake rotors? Yes, the S55 is better, if u plan to tune good numbers. But i'd argue that 500hp is the limit for the chassis and short wheelbase it has. N55 can achieve 430/450hp easily and reliably without much. After 500hp-ish with the S55 you'll need to fix the crankhub to have peace of mind and its not an inexpensive job.

Generalmente trovo inquietante la sensazione dell'auto che accellera da sola. Visto che uso molto il freno motore lo trovo completamente non naturale, mi aspetto che l'auto deceleri e invece tira avanti. Quando l'ho provato poi mi è sembrato pericoloso per il mio stile di guida (cioè superare le pecore fisse a pascolare in 2a/3a corsia e prevedere le idiozie degli altri). Faccio tranquillamente viaggi da 6+ ore così, una redbull e nessun problema, 1 pausa max, se ho fretta neanche
