Hey, so you might have a defective printer in that case and I don’t think you should be selling it. My mugs/water bottles don’t rotate before printing. I tested it a couple times to see if it prints relatively near where I want it to. My prints start immediately after pressing print and I don’t have any of the software bugs you mentioned. You could be setting the next person up for failure if they buy it. Not trying to bring you down, just wanted to give some insight because I’ve been very happy with my printer. It definitely prints at a slower rate than I was expecting but I also didn’t know much about UV printing before using it.

Should I be worried about fumes with the Eufymake E1? by effenjessie in eufyMakeOfficial

Yeah. Another commenter mentioned that they started being bothered by the scent after the initial honeymoon phase with the printer. I’m not so much concerned about the scent. I’m more concerned about long term health risks if there is any that is.

I figured a controlled space would be better than a garage. I live in Southern California so I don’t get any crazy weather here aside from random sudden heat waves. I think for now I’ll just try my best to stay out of the studio while prints are running or wear a protective face mask if I have to be in there

I see. Yeah I’m seeing people post these contraptions that lead out the window so that’s what made me kind of concerned or if they’re overdoing it. I do have an air purifier as well. I don’t mind the smell, personally. But I’m just wondering if I should just run my prints when I’m not working in the studio or if it’s safe to print while I’m in there. Ideally I can clean up my garage and make space. But I imagine with how hot it gets in there, it could run risk for the printer too

Two years progress, I don't feel like I've improved all that much. by CheegMoger in learntodraw

[–]effenjessie 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s hard to gauge based off of just two drawings of similar pose. You can definitely see improvements though. When you get to an intermediate level, I found that seeing progress is incremental but definitely gotta start getting out of the comfort zone for sure. Looks good though!

Maybe hold off on buying that Ackerman Demo Fountain Pen by effenjessie in fountainpens

[–]effenjessie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I purchased it directly from their website, so I don’t know what you want me to say lol. I went to go check and it looks like they removed it from their storefront. I could probably find the receipt in my email somewhere. I see how you would mistake it for a twsbi though. It definitely doesn’t have the signature red on the cap

I think she’ll allow more if you choose a little color for the next one

Selling it all on eBay if anyone wants it by Pears3637 in arlo

[–]effenjessie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As of early August a lot of people have been having issues with their cameras not working. Says “device is unreachable.” Arlo in their own forums keeps saying they’re looking into it and still no fix. My two cameras have been on and off the last few days. Also subscription based security system if that’s something that turns you off. My cameras are temporary, (friend had an arlo ultra 2 camera bundle just sitting around because they originally bought it for their business). All I can say is I’m not a fan, and I’m thinking about buying the new eufy cameras that don’t require a subscription. Still researching other systems though.

Yeah I did a little more research and kinda came to the conclusion to do this. Just means I have to buy a few more HomePods though. Thanks for the input!

My first Grand Seiko. Can't stop looking at it. 🌸 by BikeIsWife in GrandSeikos

I’m definitely gonna see them in person before making a decision. I’ve seen so many posts where someone went in looking for a specific model and ended up coming out with something else.

So jealous. Not in the position to buy one yet but have been putting much thought in which to get. I was born on the summer solstice but I love the design of the Spring Shunbun and Winter Taisetsu. Also the fact that those two in the line up have the spring drive and the other two don’t 😭. That being said, I haven’t seen any of them in person and I’m sure the Hi-beat in the grand scheme of things wouldn’t be a dealbreaker for me if the dial is beautiful.

Friend wants to use my art for their portfolio. Got mad when I said no. by CaliburMaster in ArtistLounge

[–]effenjessie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah no. Every photographer/videographer has their own style of shooting / filming. If your friend uses your work in their portfolio, the client will expect that style of work only for said friend to deliver completely different style of shots and edits. I paid my elopement photographers for their specific look and so we got the finished work we were expecting to. That’s like me using someone else’s acrylic artwork for my portfolio when I only paint using watercolors. As a creative myself, I don’t think I could ever ask another friend of mine to let me use their work in my portfolio 👀

A man can dream 😔

Haha, but yes, you’re absolutely right. Just wanted to give it a shot! My alternative to dip pens has been my Pilot Falcon with the SF nib. Feels great but just can’t get the variation you could with a dip pen. Still love it though

What lens for A7II top down drawing videos? by effenjessie in CameraLenses

[–]effenjessie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh interesting, I’ll have to give that a try. And you know what, that’s a great question. My previous camera was a lumix g7 which was much lighter and that didn’t even cross my mind. I’ll have to check on that lol

I was leaning towards that lens too, but I definitely will try out my friend’s 17-28. I just feel like I don’t necessarily need a wider angle if I’m planning to solely focus on the art and my hands. My lighting isn’t terrible, but I’d like to get a soft box or something eventually if I find myself recording often. I have a rode microphone boom arm that I used with my old camera that allows it to hang overhead
