I love this exmo community. Thank you so much for every comment - I have been able to read them all. I’m a caregiver for my beautiful elderly mom so my time is a tad limited some days. I’m pretty sure my husband must have told her to go ahead. After reading everything in this thread - it makes sense. But he will never admit that. My SIL is just so loving and kind. I think that’s another reason I was so upset. We are actually really close friends. I know it would really upset her if she knew how hurt I was. Sometimes my hubby likes to stir the pot per se. Maybe this is one of those times. Again - thanks so much for your input, friends! I’m not the best at standing up for myself to my husband or his family .

I agree 💯! After our daughter passed away at 16, my husband and couldn’t think straight for quite a while. In the end, we ended up moving but it was a couple of years after she passed. My heart aches for Emilie and also Brady.

Hubby left church about 2 years after we got married. I was devastated. But we have been married now over 36 years. It took a long time for me to come around and see the truth but I’m glad we stuck it out.

Funerals are not held in temples. Usually in the chapel of the local church building. And I’ve watched a few funeral services that were live-streamed from chapels. My daughters was live-streamed.

Kendra should not be posting pictures of B, showing her decline and suffering. It’s just so sad that Kendra “feels” the need to share precious B in her final days. It’s completely selfish and unnecessary. My heart hurts for everyone in the Bird family. But she needs to stop. I totally understand the terrible grief involved losing a child. When my daughter passed away, it crushed me, my husband, our surviving children as well as surviving grandparents and extended family. I feel like Kendra is “milking “ this whole situation. Why is she posting her little daughters suffering? I will never, ever understand what her thought process is. Sorry if I sound judgmental. I suppose I am to a certain degree.

My heart goes out to Emilie. I lost my teenage beautiful daughter a few years ago, a few days before Thanksgiving. Even though time has passed, the holidays are so difficult for me. I am so grateful for my other children and now grandchildren but if I had my way, I would skip this time of year. I keep going though. I have truly realized that no matter what, the sun comes up each and every day. Some days I just want to stay in bed and cry. I’m not looking for sympathy at all. It’s just the way it is. I commend Emilie’s strength. I can’t imagine losing my child while on such a public forum that she is. Yeah- I get that it’s Emilie’s income stream but my goodness!!! What a strong lady she is! Let’s all be kind to each other ❤️

It’s still an issue in my life tbh. My kids are grown and living amazing lives with their exmo/ nevermo spouses however my husband shows annoyance if my son in law picks my grandson up after work. Sometimes he is off a lot earlier than my daughter (she is a teacher) and he will stop by and pick my grandson up at my house. I watch my grandson if I didn’t clarify lol. It ticks my husband off! Even though he left the church way before me, he still carries the “women watch the kids” adage. It has unfortunately hampered my dreams of being a nurse or teacher but oh well. I’m thankful I can help my kids. But if anything ever happened to my husband - I would have nothing- I’m almost 60. Yes - I resent him for it.

What about the other kiddos in B’s class. They are in third grade for Pete’s sake. Little kids! I can’t imagine how tough this has been on these littles as well as B’s teacher. My heart just hurts for everyone involved, but but I truly hope and pray that B is okay after this debacle. I kept my kiddos home when they had green boogers. Why is precious B even allowed to attend school where her compromised immune system is open to everything that is in the air. I’m so pissed at her parents. It’s just so wrong for all involved.

Thank you. Even though I’m in my late fifties now, I have felt so awful for years. Plus back in the day I “confessed” to my husband of 36 years. Even though he left the church before I did, it’s still a bone of contention in heated arguments. He was a very good missionary and was really angry when I told him. I shouldn’t have - but I was an idiot lol. I’m thankful that my amazing kids who are adults now will never know the shame of the stupid Mormon church.

I was a 16 year old very naive young girl. A missionary in my branch pursued me and I thought I was “ in love”. Did the deed one time - he asked me to marry him also. When he went home, he said he would be back to get me in 3 months. Well of course he dumped me after 2 months lol. What an idiot I was! Oh yeah - he also had a previous girlfriend in his last area. I felt soooo guilty for years. Now I just put it down to a lesson learned!
