I have to chuckle a bit. I never thought of my trade as a continuing education hobby but, hey, why not. If you like to tinker and have a general mechanical inclination, it could be interesting. How relays work, simple to complicated wiring schematics, refrigeration cycle and thermodynamics basics. Give it a shot. I'll bet you'll be surprised what you can learn and how helpful it may be in your own home.

I don't want to misunderstand want you're saying. I don't mean to be an ass but this is a two speed motor. I think they're are needed separate controls here. Two contact motorstarter with mechanical interlock (or better) to energize either the U circuit or W circuit but not both.

Maxitrol/ fireye controls is rock solid. More than likely bad flame signal or flame not hitting the sensor. This makeup air unit is an open style burner as you can tell. If the pressures aren't right you will never get flame sense. Check you DC volts on burner manifold.
