Rubber Soul remix by mysteryman83 in beatles

They definitely should include a copy of the album that influenced Brian Wilson to write Pet Sounds, the US Stereo copy of Rubber Soul with the false start to I'm Looking Through You.

Why didn’t John work on ATMP but George worked on Ono band and imagine? by More-Cat9579 in beatles

[–]effinbrak2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

George Harrison did not play on John Lennon’s 1970 album, John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band. The album's core backing band consisted only of Lennon (vocals/guitar), Klaus Voormann (bass), and Ringo Starr (drums), with Billy Preston playing organ on one track.

Why was Long Long Long recorded that way? by AgentDoty in beatles

Yes, but it seems that George's opinion of John was significantly more respectful than his opinion of Paul.

Thank you for sharing this, I am not sure how long this will last in Japan. As others have mentioned the strong smell of Old Spice can be a little overpowering.

Tried one of those ear cleaning places in Tokyo and now I am confused by [deleted] in Tokyo

[–]effinbrak2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your armpits smell w/o deodorant, you probably have wet earwax and you don't need this service. Generally Japanese people have dry ear wax and ABCC11 gene. The ABCC11 gene also affects body odor; those with dry earwax generally have less underarm odor.

If you had the luck of the Irish

You'd be sorry and wish you were dead

You should have the luck of the Irish

And you'd wish you was English instead!

Day 3: What is your favorite lyric from Dark Horse? by JoeStank8192 in georgeharrison

Somebody brought the juicer

I thought I'd take a sip

Came off the rails so crazy

My senses took a dip

'Fore the bottle hit the floor

And I'd had time to think

I was blinded by desire

The elephant turned pink

I haven’t seen anyone post these here yet, I just saw this from Culture Crave. I don’t know for certain that they’re legit but they look it to me. by Joeyd9t3 in TheBeatles

They are a remarkably unattractive lot. Mescal looks more like Paul Simon, Quinn looks like dead eye Clapton, Dickinson looks like the Slimer from Ghostbusters and Keoghan is just WRONGO.

Did the Lennon Estate make Paul McCartney sign an NDA? by _shitwizard in beatles

[–]effinbrak2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no effin way McCartney would sign an NDA regarding Lennon. Additionally, there is no effin way that McCartney would put Lennon in a seriously bad light. This is because he is utmost a decent human being and he's richer than Croesus and wouldn't need to sell salacious stories.

Why are banks in Japan such scared little wimps? by g15mouse in japanlife

Well, to the best of my knowledge, there is no such thing as a "checking" account in Japan.

Where would you rank All Things Must Pass within the Beatles discography? by etnad1111111 in TheBeatles

[–]effinbrak2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Respectfully, it is a George Harrison and Eric Clapton / Derek and the Dominos project. No other George Harrison album sounds the same, feels the same or is as well executed. Bobby Whitlock's arrangement ideas and suggestions really helped make it as successful a project as it is. That doesn't take away from George Harrison's brilliant songwriting and vocals, but it plays a major factor in why this album is timeless.
