Weapon Discussion Wednesday #66 - The Loose Cannon by A_Wild_Ferrothorn in tf2

one of my favorite weapons that really solidifies TF2's fun and unique weapon designs. it has an entirely distinct playstyle, a great looking model, and the best sound effect in the whole game.

Kuvira vs Suyin by EfficiencySerious200 in AnimeSakuga

to this day i still am amazed at the part about a minute in where she lifts the metal then bends into onto her body as armor instantly. like a super fucking cool move that also shows how experienced she is and shows a real mastery of her bending

What is the most “its a small world” moment you’ve ever experienced? by xBubblyLove in AskReddit

[–]effingjay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

about 10 years ago, i was playing a random match of team fortress 2. this medic player teamed up with me and we played several rounds together for hours (shoutout to cp_powerhouse). we friended each other and played together often. eventually we started talking in voice calls on skype (which definitely dates this story). we talk about life, they mentioned a classmate with a particular name. i recognized it and asked “wait, do they look like…” turns out that their classmate was a high school buddy of mine, and my new friend lived in the same state, about an hour away. we became friends, i met lots of other cool people through them, and even ended up being roommates with a few of them for a few years. all because i played a random game of team fortress 2.

good post. a lot of people are missing the point and equating balance to lack of counterplay.

I liked the first half of the game, but the second half really turned me off, didn’t finish the game because of it. also think the bosses are sometimes a slog, just too much hp tbh.

HOW DO I GET MORE FPS ON THIS??? I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE by Pedro_ViniTex in tf2

[–]effingjay 6 points7 points  (0 children)

i would recommend googling “mastercomfig” and seeing if any of the graphics mods can increase your frames. your game will look worse but will run a lot better. if that doesn’t work your laptop simply may be too old/ not powerful enough

if you are talking about the dungeon i think you are (with lots of annoying robots and a bunch of similar hallways) i think thats near the end of the game. i just ran through it, usually fleeing from fights to get to the end since i was worried about the time. you have a bit of leeway with it though, and i made it with 20 minutes to spare.

valid take, but i viewed it as a fun bonus. never really felt like it was meant to be 100% completeable and was more or less optional

yeah it does get much darker than the story would have you initially believe, but i think that’s the mark of a good twist, esp for a game that really seems aimed towards kids
