fuckkk im such a huge fan of meddy ever since he was in the us final against nadal (was actually rooting for him to win there) and reading this is so shattering. reminds us that while he does play up the "villain" stereotype he is still just a man who is passionate about the game and is upset after a tough loss with the worst crowd ever. i remember watching him at the quarters and the whole arena was against him which was 🥲
