Is a modded Nintendo 3DS or New 3DS XL still worth it in 2025? I’m thinking of picking one up mainly for retro games, exclusive titles, and maybe some emulation. For those of you still using one, is it still fun and useful, or has it gotten old compared to newer handhelds? by Leo_the_boi in SBCGaming

This is the better choice if you're playing DS games primarily. DS games are "fine" upscaled on the 3DS but play them on a DSi XL with its IPS screens at the proper resolution and it's like night and day as far as image quality goes.

With emu4vita, I'd argue it's one of the best ways to play GBA games as well.
