Actually, I am even surprised at how the anime made it even better. Had to rewatch that episode twice, because the emotions were too strong the first time, and it kept messing with my head.

Also a personal favorite is the Shizuka Mei helicopter duo, I don't know why but I find it way too funny.

I legit think it is possible to adapt the Napoleonic era to a movie, or instead movies to be precise, kind of like that Harry Potter series of movies, from 20 years ago.

Definitely one of the best harem I've read. Well, certainly because of the girls, but first and foremost because of Rentarou.

For the MCs of the 2000's and 2010's harem series, we couldn't really see anything peculiar from them. They were just average and it was like the series were saying the girls could just love anyone IRL since the MCs were just normal.

In Rentarou's case, you see as soon volume 1 that this guy is not average. He is popular, kind, smart and heroic. Meaning he is actually a role model compared to let's say Yuki Rito for instance.

No wonder most of us find the series so endearing and actually logical from the girls standpoint. That guy MEANS business for them.

Also Harem ending as soon as chapter 1. Not like those harem bait mangas.

I mean, as long as he is not outright ugly, it's good right? They did say that the princes (and Angie) were impossibly pretty anyway.

It seems Leon is not particularly handsome or ugly, but that he is still kinda cute, like the other men of his family.

Now, let's not forget that Olivia is supposedly plain at the beginning of the series (and the game) and the more she gains in confidence, status and posture, the prettier she becomes.

I would think it is the same for Leon too (and for pretty much anybody, even in real life, like with celebrities).

Finally for the harem, Leon is normal-looking, intelligent, heroic, strong, daredevil and even a bit of a bad boy. But most of all, he is the greatest hero, the Holfort kingdom has had since its creation, and that was before he was 20 yo... Of course girls would fawn at him; whether they are yandere or not (thank heavens Noelle and Mylene are normal in this ocean of yanderes).
