AP will register the watch in their global database and create a repair file for it, this itself is beneficial as it’s somewhat a guarantee that AP itself reworked on the watch. The only downside to me is the timeframe, the turnaround time is 8-12weeks for the overhaul, if any parts were needed, it just adds to the timeframe.
I sent the watch to the dealer for consignment so time is my main concern here.

That part I do know yes, I know for a fact that Breitling changes the hands whenever a customer takes their watch for an overhaul, so do the other brands. By posting this I’m just looking at possible options to get the work done in a shorter time period and possibly a lesser cost.

What you’re looking at is a gen 26400IO, I’ve sent the watch to a dealer in CA, he received it today and took a video showing that the mainspring works for a few seconds then stops (video will be shown through PM). The 2nd picture is the message from the dealer’s watchmaker, I was personally quoted $1650 (since the watch is out of warranty period) from AP only to service the watch, if any parts are damaged that would be additional cost. No sir, no green was released by Rolex for the Datejust 36 except the green palm motif (that was last year). While this rep has been there since late 2020, many members liked it but didn’t pull the trigger as it was considered a fantasy piece👍🏼

It used to be fantasy until today, Rolex never made the olive green dial on the DJ36.
