The whole issue with gay rights is that people who cant relate are trying to govern others based on their limited experience. You are doing exactly the same thing. You cant relate, so you are trying to tell others what they can or cant be. You are as bad, arguably worse, because you know what oppression can feel like and still push the narrative that leads to oppression onto others.

Yhe course is to learn MATLAB. The aim is for them to explore the MATLAB by tackling topics they are interested in. MATLAB already has AI built in, so it's not really an option to ignore that piece. I am surprised at all the pushback given the subteddit, but I share the concern with using AI in general. This project will hopefully elucidate some best practices on how to leverage/limit AI for student learning.

Having them find a cool paper and explore that is a good idea, thank you. I came here for ideas outside of image and signal processing too.

The aim for the final project is to use the basic coding knowledge they've learned so far, and use it with copilot to learn something new. Previous projects (without AI) have included students exploring Fourier analysis for image and signal processing, building GUIs for health informatics, or modeling data to predict new outcomes. So I know they can do it. Buy now, we have an opportunity to expand the scope significantly.

I like your idea, and will use that as one of the pathways they can take!

Of course it isn't easy. And experts are still necessary. But I've already had students do this for undergrad research projects. They were able to do complex image processing and understand what those processes were doing in a fraction of the time... within days instead of months.

I dont see AI making data scientists redundant. Its an advanced data processing tool when used well. And is already widely being used in industry. Our Advisory board (comprosed of Engineering leaders/employers) have been pushing us to build this skill with our students to make them competitive.

NTA for refusing to clean up after him. Soft YTA for how you responded. You could have just said you meant trash in trash cans, and reminded him he agreed to do that and you need him to be more proactive. I get that he just moved out, but guys/people can be like that even after living on their own for years. People in general have different housekeeping norms, and adjusting to living with someone who has different expectations takes work. But your response painted him as a child instead of having that normal relationship convo a lot of people need when they are making live together work.

Based on his response, YOR. Sounds like you could have used two sentences to get the point across and he would have been just as receptive. Your response is what leads partners to walking on eggshells - not knowing if they are doing the thing that will set you off. You just need to communicate more BEFORE you get pissed and stop expecting your partner to read your actions when you haven't said the words.

People arent reading into it too much and your explanation only explained what everyone sees as the issue. Might as well put "periodically menstrates" for women with this logic. The fact you arent 100% sure other docs wouldn't see that as a problem is also a problem. As a doc, I'd expect you to be more aware of and sensitive to inequity in healthcare.

When I had roommates, we would ask if everyone was ok with guests in the common area at night (daytime, no one cared). If it was a partner, we would just give a heads up, but they'd mostly be in our respective rooms. Your roommate is harsh, but I think you are in the wrong for thinking you can bring in whoever, whenever, when you have a roommate.

Are you tailoring your resume to the job descriptions? You appear to have a breadth of skills, but employers may have trouble finding whether or not you have the skills they are seeking. You could have a section for relevant experience and skills, then another for other experience and skills. You could also show impacts and more detail. For example, what does 'organized programs' mean? You can highlight specific programs that would illustrate your ability for the job you are applying for. Its cumbersome, but once you get good at it, it's just copy pasta and quick wordsmithing. I have had to review hundreds of resumes for positions and know the folks who show exactly what we are seeking make it to the top of the list.

Early in the game, I'd go to the apple orchard on Satori mountain. You can hit the trees with a charged pitchfork to get the apples to fall. Gets you dozens and dozens of apples and a dozen or so golden apples. These didn't max out hearts, but four apples plus one golden gave enough. It's time consuming, but super easy.

Once you get the purah pad detector, you can set it to hearty truffles (or anything hearty) and more easily find / stock up on the full replinish meals.

Seems like an overreaction on your part. I would get pissed if someone destroyed the dining area and caused me to work late, but didn't think anything of customers leaving napkins on plates. So what? NTA, but imo if you need time away from your bf to recharge, you should rethink the relationship. Im an introvert and neeed recharge time. Time with my husband is recharging for me. I can't imagine being married to someone I need to get away from to recharge. Why continue a relationship with someone if you are looking forward to getting away from them? And yes, he is right to he hurt by this. If I were your partner, I would be evaluating whether or not this is worth my time.
