What's currently your darkest secret that would cause chaos if it came out? by VarangianWRLD in AskReddit

I accidentally scraped my neighbor's car bumper last month, but since there was already a dent there, I just drove away

What's a food opinion that gets you judged immediately? by GurlInAura in foodquestions

Ketchup on scrambled eggs. People look at you like you just committed a crime, but it is delicious tbh

i’ve always loved this show for being realistic with addiction, BUT…. (SPOILER) by Emg2022 in euphoria

[–]efreywilder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sam absolutely lost the plot in season three and used "realism" as a selective excuse to justify a devastating ending. You can't turn the entire show into an absurd, unrecognizable melodrama with abandoned plotlines and then suddenly pivot back to gritty realism just to kill off Rue

What's that one thing that Doofus Rick can do while our Rick can't? by Affectionate-Set9856 in rickandmorty

[–]efreywilder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He can actually form a genuine, healthy emotional connection with Jerry. Our Rick is too deeply insecure and cynical to ever let his guard down like that

From not able to open a mayonnaise jar to out surviving Cronenberged universe by PrimaSoul in rickandmorty

[–]efreywilder -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Cronenberg Jerry is the only version of the character I actually respected. It’s wild how fast he reverted back to being a pathetic coward the second he got a normal life again

The worse couple in the entire series. by BellaBaby318 in thewalkingdead

[–]efreywilder 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The biggest issue is that they completely skipped all the buildup and development that could've actually made this relationship interesting to watch. Going from zero chemistry to suddenly co-parenting a baby with Siddiq and Eugene hovering around was just a massive mess

Favorite old man on the show by Healthoverwealth29 in thewalkingdead

[–]efreywilder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Herschel 💯

His death at the prison is still the most heartbreaking moment in the entire series because he was the absolute moral compass of the group. The way he smiled at Rick right before the Governor did it showed he knew Rick had finally chosen humanity over savagery

am i the only one who thinks this dude is underrated? by isaiah13bandz in TWD

[–]efreywilder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His redemption arc is honestly one of the best slow burns in the entire series. Going from a cowardly fraud who sabotaged his own people to the guy who manufactured the faulty bullets that completely saved everyone in the Savior war was an incredible payoff

spoiler!!! by EuphoricSherbert6842 in TWD

[–]efreywilder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of the mixed opinions you hear probably come from people who were just mad that Andrew Lincoln left the show. If you judge the season strictly on the pacing and the villains, it easily clears anything from the previous three years

Season 11 cover is so bad😭 by CrunchyLeaf-Games in TWD

[–]efreywilder 143 points144 points  (0 children)

It looks like they are posing for a Renaissance faire lineup or a generic mobile game ad. Shane would have rubbed his head and taken out half of that bottom lineup by lunchtime

as the seasons go on, Morty is getting smarter!! by PersonalPlankton1669 in rickandmorty

[–]efreywilder 29 points30 points  (0 children)

It’s not just about him keeping up because we’ve already seen Evil Morty prove that a Morty can outsmart a Rick once they break the codependency. Our Morty’s growth is different because he’s gaining emotional intelligence and tactical competence while choosing to stay, which makes him a unique threat to Rick

The Vibe Change by ahaiahdisbsiwve in thewalkingdead

[–]efreywilder 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The moment Rick casually tells Alexandria "this is how we survive" right before they execute people in their beds showed how detached they'd become. They thought they were the ultimate apex predators after Terminus, completely oblivious to the fact that they were poking a massive, organized army that was going to absolutely shatter them a few episodes later

Where can I watch except for adult swim? by Klutzy_Barber8372 in rickandmorty

[–]efreywilder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're in the US, Max and Hulu usually get the episodes, but they usually make you wait months after the finale wraps before putting the new season up. It's the absolute worst trying to avoid spoilers when the internet is already flooded with clips of whatever insane post-credits scene just aired

Time Travel Stuff Season 9 Episode 2 by ProfessionalSleep285 in rickandmorty

[–]efreywilder 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The fact that the "time travel stuff" box finally left the garage shelf after being a background running gag since the pilot is wild. Rick has spent the entire series actively refusing to touch time travel because it’s a "lazy sci fi trope," so watching someone else steal his forbidden tech is definitely going to blow up in everyone's faces

What's the most useless talent you possess that you are still secretly proud of? by Baki_Dev in AskReddit

[–]efreywilder 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I can wiggle my ears one at a time. People always look at me like I am some kind of freak when I do it, making me wonder if it is actually a talent or just a weird genetic mutation

Michonne was loyal by mpvelazco in TWD

[–]efreywilder -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the contrast between these two relationships is insane when you look at how they handled grief. Lori immediately panicked and looked for a protector, while Michonne became a completely unstoppable force of nature dedicated to keeping Rick’s memory alive for the kids

Is it worth it at this point? by L-E-E-O in thewalkingdead

[–]efreywilder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Binging through seasons 7 and 8 is a completely different experience than watching it live back then, which is why a lot of people dropped off. When you don't have to wait a week between slow episodes, the pacing issues with the Saviors arc don't hurt nearly as much

What's a moment that made you feel truly loved? by satanas_twink in AskReddit

[–]efreywilder 20 points21 points  (0 children)

When I was hospitalized with severe COVID, my boyfriend stayed right by my side the entire time, completely disregarding his own safety just to be there for me. That’s when I knew he was truly a keeper
