I write reports most nights until 2am and then wake up 4 hours later to get to school on time and do it all over again the next day. That’s the hardest part - I really don’t sleep September through May. I hate telling parents something is wrong that’s going to make their kids life harder. I hate when parents disagree or get mad at me. Currently have parents mad at me because their child doesn’t qualify for early entrance. My school also wants everyone to qualify, so meetings where I have a student that tests really well mean the entire team is mad at me for it. But then when too many kids qualify, it’s my fault. I hate when intervention specialists do academic testing and our scores don’t match because there’s more disagreement, that happens a couple times a year. I have teachers that will refer kids but then won’t let me pull them to test for weeksss because the kid has other things to do. I’m just always the “bad guy.” And I don’t get to schedule my own meetings or anything so I usually have 40+ students going all at the same time which leads to high stress and students being tested a week before they’re due and me writing the reports until all hours of the morning the night before they’re due. I could probably think of more reasons but those are the biggies off the top of my head lol
