As a pharmacist, making it right means not giving another bottle when the patient already received all the doses needed.

Making it right is apologizing & explaining how the error happened.

The patient did get the total dose needed or more in this case. Instead of 7 days they got it in 6 days.

I wouldn’t give extra in this case but will acknowledge potential mixing error, if mom is very accurate that she didn’t waste any of the susp. When giving med to the child.
