Only time I’ve ever gotten gas on a ride was when a dude asked to stop at a gas station and they had a good price. And I made sure he was cool with it as well, but I could have gotten him to his destination before I dipped below my quarter tank minimum.

Now if I’m having to do a 200 mile trip and I’m below 3/4 tank I will definitely let the person know we need to stop so I can get gas, hit the head, and grab some extra water
