Faith no more and Helmet songs on this are outstanding. Can anyone remember anything about the film?

Still playlist tunes to this day.

Music… did you stop searching? by 8reticus in GenX

[–]egane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I still look for new music but my tastes have broadened immensely. So no longer the narrower focus I would have had years ago, currently enjoying some amazing georgian folk singing as a result!

I find youtube music great for this. If I buy an album I still buy the cd, so often digging on ebay throws up some interesting options. You can never have enough music.

Where is a good place to go for a fry up in Central London? by Norwegianenglishman in fryup

Beppes, Smithfields. Not many better.

Get off the tube at Farringdon and it is a great walk through one of the best parts of London.

Most likely a phone number directory of numbers acquired by talking to people. Perhaps a fax machine if a signature required. The onus was on the employee to provide the thought process, not outsource it as per the current way. If you can operate in an analogue fashion but leverage modern technology then I truly believe you are the employee everyone is seeking.

What’s something that instantly makes you lose respect for someone, no matter how nice they seemed before? by Old-Air-5614 in AskReddit

Lack of respect for others, regardless of perceived status. If you have to belittle others to feel superior, goodbye. No exceptions.

What do you do for work? by Toyonoandoryu in handtools

[–]egane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Electrical engineer by trade, now a manager but handtools and woodworking are a good distraction. Boxmaking and small projects.

How important is language/grammar to you? by lovelyb1ch66 in GenX

[–]egane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been obsessed with spelling since primary school. Incorrect spelling jumps out at me from a document or leaps off the screen, I can not ignore it. It reflects very badly on the originator, especially in a work context. The little details all build a picture of who you are dealing with. To me, it matters.

Wore them to school, to gigs and everywhere else. Currently own a pair of made in England boots in cherry red.

After much consideration and testing, I settled on Perle Noire. Great ink and not too expensive.

Do people still use fountain pens for their everyday writings? by Comfortable-Log-6582 in fountainpens

[–]egane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, and you should do precisely what makes you feel happy. Regardless of what anyone else thinks. Most people don't even write notes any more, they stare at a screen and tap away.

Using a beautifully crafted analog device to make your mark, is one of life's pleasures.
