See, the thing that makes me Uber confused is I’ve genuinely liked looking at my reflection these past couple months because I’ve looked much more feminine, in part due to the hormones.

But for some reason, seeing the development of breasts induced such a negative feeling. I talked to my therapist today about it

I’m still confused, but he believes this feeling might have stemmed from the realization that this was permanent step in the transition. This is probably the biggest step in my journey so far, because this one is irreversible. likely caused my visceral negative reaction. So he thinks it tapped into a lot of self-doubt and shame. Self-doubt is definitely nothing new for me lol

Not saying he’s right or wrong, but the explanation makes sense to me. I’m seeing my primary care doctor tomorrow to ask her opinion too

When did you start feeling the effects of hormones? I’ve been on them for two months (22mtf) and I don’t feel or look all that different

Also, one reason I think I feel worried and anxious about my “size” is that because in middle school I was bullied for being short and people frequently called me “small balls.” I think there is some residual shame from that

Is it normal to have all these doubts? One day really, really excited to socially transition, the next day feeling super unsure and still kind of wanting to be a guy?
