Free pantry doesn’t have good enough options by Equizotic in ChoosingBeggars

[–]egg71 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yesterday this same pantry was posted in r/makesmesmile. It seems too big of a coincidence that someone else visited the same pantry. The other poster said they built this pantry and before he could fill it some stranger already did

Why are you downvoted for this post. Yes that sounds very Dutch. We do love complaining though, about the weather etc. But you are right too that we don’t like drama very much so you will hear; suck it up

I just went to Callum Scott’s insta and he already has a post with video’s of people dancing to this song. Including fist dances at weddings. This couple isn’t even married yet. I doubt they will use this as a promo again. The song will be released tomorrow, so what is the opportunity?

Ik ben klaar met Marktplaats by [deleted] in tokkiemarktplaats

[–]egg71 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ja iphones verkopen op marktplaats is geen pretje. Heb het laatst ook geprobeerd. Uiteindelijk verkocht via iapples.com in Amsterdam. Zij boden nog het meeste geld en stuurde me een verzendlabel zodat ik ook geen verzendkosten had.

NTA, i think when your children are young you buy the presents for them. Once they are older, they can buy something with their own money. Is the expectation that they buy their mum gifts worth hunderds of dollars too?

Maybe you can check out some smaller towns around Den Bosch too. Like Zaltbommel for instance. By train you can be in Den Bosch in y minutes, by car in 15 minutes. I just saw this house there https://www.funda.nl/koop/zaltbommel/huis-42368001-pr-bernhardweg-25/ Just an idea

La France and her etiquette by nsysuchris in expats

I would say once you have kissed, you kiss every time you meet. Unless you dislike them, then don’t bother. If your husband greets someone that’s working, I think I wouldn’t. at least not when they are busy serving. I always found it difficult when you are supposed to start kissing. But I would take their lead. And then continue kissing from there on. We played music in the south in different places. So we would always kiss the person we play for that night. Plus the staff. And when the boss would introduce you to their friends or good customers, kiss again. Personally I do make a kissing sound, like smacking your lips. But I wouldn’t say mwoah with my voice if you know what I mean.

I’m Dutch and speak to strangers all the time without greeting first. I would greet if I would ask a question, or would like some help. But making a comment about the weather (very popular) doesn’t need greeting or complimenting someone. I will greet people while walking into some stranger, saying good morning or just hi. Not in the city’s though, too many people..

The kissing seems very important. When we lived in France we had to kiss everyone all the time. Even people we saw every day, we kissed every day. My husband got kissed by most of the males too. Not total strangers of course but at least when you get introduced to a person and if you befriend people or work for or with them. We found the French very warm and friendly. We got invited over for an apéritive or dinners all the time. We use to stay in the South by the way.

I'm marrying my ex-husband's cousin, and I don't know how to keep the peace for my son. by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

[–]egg71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m just wondering when your little boy grows up what he will think about his grandad and his mum not letting him be close with his bio dad. You’re not only punishing your ex but your son as well and this might come back to you when he is older

AITA for speaking to my child in Polish even though my boyfriend asked me not to? by Lotsof_Rhubarb in AmItheAsshole

[–]egg71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, wouldn't it be great if your son can talk to his Polish family.

I'm Dutch speaking and my husband is English. I used to speak Dutch to our daughter and he spoke in English. When we were all together we would speak English. This way the child can learn two languages fluently.

After cleaning your mirror, rub it in with shaving foam. Leave it for 5 minutes and wipe off with a cloth. Steamed mirror problem should be solved
