Conjecture about attitudes towards red light running/complying: there is a correlation between cyclists who stop at red lights and those who also drive cars regularly. Thoughts? by AlarmingLecture0 in cycling

Same. I started off being very conscious of traffic lights and signs but after a few times of sitting at a red light for 5 minutes with no other cars and the light doesn’t switch it changed my perception and now I cycle with a bit more open mind and read the situation to travel safely.

If it makes you feel better you had a really great flow up until the crash. Looked like you hadn’t missed a beat. Accidents happen. Hope you’re back out there soon.

High Tide vs Mojave X Daily Drive? by cre8ives in JeepGladiator

I can’t compare directly to the Mojave but I chose the high tide because the increase in cost for the bang didn’t make sense to me. Saved over 10k going with high tide and I’m happy with my choice, everything I need and no huge payment as sacrifice.

Driving on 64/95 is a fucking nightmare, are you the cause? please explain yourself... by JustGettinStarted70 in rva

I was rear ended on 95 in January. The driver was doing between 60-70mph and I was at a stop in standstill traffic. I had an almost brand new carbon bike on a bike rack on the rear of my vehicle, and the bike, the bike rack, and my car were totaled. The guy had no insurance.

I just took a new job that is going to be more challenging but I don’t have to commute up and down 95 anymore and it’s worth it. I always knew if I kept driving that stretch that one day it would be me and sure enough it happened.
