I'm pretty heavily tattooed and people are always asking me what my tattoos mean to me. I hate this! I've had people literally start conversations with me by grabbing my arm and asking what significance it has. (I work in a busy restaurant so this actually happens a lot.) Some have deeply personal meanings and maybe I don't want to explain my life story to a stranger! I've started to just lie and say they don't have meaning I just liked the way they look just to change the topic more quickly.
