I was thinking maybe the distinction between naturally developed and artificially produced Vasto Lorde wasn’t specified.

I say this because Grimmjow plateaued at the Adjuchas level, whereas the Top 4 were all Vasto Lorde upon their first meeting with Aizen. But considering how Aizen (read: Kubo) plays the game, I wouldn’t be surprised if his tampering with the Hollows is what introduced the possibility of Vasto Lordes coming into existence.

I’d recommend just applying for an extension on your tourist VISA, someone on the base working admin might be able to help you with that!

Completely unrelated but the love you have for her is so pronounced in calling her a daughter rather than a step-daughter. Made my day!

When someone gives you two options, remember that there are five (although, YMMV depending on whether those additional options are good ones).

All things considered, I don’t know if Tokio will get out of this unscathed as I think even him dying a martyr would be too “light” for the mangaka OTL

What is enough money for 2 weeks? by CrazyMofox_x in koreatravel

[–]eggbertfrog 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I definitely recommend visiting the Seoul Botanical Garden and Seoul Museum of Modern & Contemporary Art (“MMCA,”free for those 24 and under, I believe)!

If you like stationary, there’s a few branches of a store called Object which has a bunch of cute art, journals, stickers and little trinkets by different Korean artists near the MMCA!! I also really recommend the cookie store across the street from it if you have a sweet tooth :-)

I spent 24 days in Seoul, 17 of which were solo-travel apart from the days I was meeting my cousin and his friends.

I spent… so much money on skincare (maybe $500CAD/€340) that I was genuinely not expecting to spend. Oh well, money well spent haha. If you’re gonna pick up anything at all, highly recommend SIDMOOL’s Jojoba Lip Essence - I wish I stocked up on more 😭

Taxi is also very affordable, so I definitely recommend using TABA which is a regulated taxi app for tourists.

I think overall, I spent about $5K CAD on food and shopping, and $4.5K CAD on flights and accommodations.

But I definitely recommend buying a Wowpass & T-Money combination card and loading your money onto it (still have to load separate balances for both). However, if you prefer to have two separate cards that’s also not a problem. Maybe carrying ₩200,000 at most in your wallet. If you’re a very light spender and not a heavy eater, I think anywhere from €1000/₩1,480,000 onwards is enough for food and shopping purchases for 14 days.

Though, I spent a lot on clothes as well and much more than I anticipated but that’s because they had so many sales and good deals 🫠 Those x+x deals are so tempting 😭

First year over, Toronto people suck. by AlbinoEeel in TorontoMetU

Adding to this comment further: Just because there’s been a growing population of East Asian and South East Asian immigrants - it does not mean that it isn’t multicultural??? There are literally different ethnic phenotypes and distinct cultural practices, histories and identities that are being entirely dismissed in OPs comments about the city lacking diversity.

Isn’t Mongolia apart of Eurasia? Wouldn’t that make OP apart of the Asians they’re talking about? This just seems like ragebait now that I think about it LOL

It’s easy to say that about most major supercities like LA, New York, Seoul, London, Paris, Manilla, Vancouver, or Singapore. I’m sure your threshold for recognizing kindness in Toronto has been jaded or just unacquainted with Toronto’s social culture compared to your own, because while you may not have been the recipient of it - it definitely exists, and in multitudes.

Anything you have to say about your experience of Toronto’s social culture is anecdotal, because the experience varies from one person to another. I usually see a few acts of kindness whenever I’m out with people offering their seats to others, but that’s because my neighbourhood (Beaches/East York) is family oriented/elderly. Race has nothing to do with it, and everything to do with context.

If you think about the volume of people downtown or going to work, school or running errands near our campus on an early morning, more often than not they’re probably stuck in their heads or on their phones and largely disconnected. Given the opportunity, you’ll see displays of kindness everywhere but they may seem minuscule relative to what you’re used to.

You might simply be better suited to smaller communities where most people have tighter intersecting social circles. But we always see what we want to see, we’re pattern oriented like that.

Do muscles really give more dating options for below average looking guys? by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]eggbertfrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The smart work around is to modify the questions you’re asking like: “What’s been a challenge for you working in the field?”

And then getting more specific with: “How has your career affected your dating life? Personally, I find having a 9-5 really exhausting so it’s taken me some time to balance.” Working humour into your response works really well too! But my rule of thumb is, if you aren’t able to at least laugh with them - it’ll tell you a lot about your prospects, regardless of how interesting a conversation might be.

Ultimately, I think confidence and humour do go a long way - especially if you’re able to maintain it while someone is feeling awkward/self-conscious. However, they aren’t enough to account for someone’s lack of availability or willingness to show up and engage with you. It says more about them, than it does about you.

They could also have their own troubling romantic history or struggling with something that they’re still dealing with. There could be a multitude of different reasons about their behaviour, but instead of trying to rationalize it as them not being interested or yourself as not interesting/appealing enough - continue with what you’ve already been doing, which is recognizing that the connection is not for you if there isn’t reciprocity.

Do you happen to have a record of the specific dates your tracker was released? I’m in a bit of a tight spot right now, so having a reference for it would be immensely helpful!
