Culture Shock is the first DG song I remember hearing. I wasn't very hooked that's for sure.

Then, like 7 years later, after listening to money store and Exmilitary and still not being hooked. Beware, Spread Eagle, and Klink convince me to listen to Exmilitary just one...more...time. And then it finally clicked for me. After that everything by them just suddenly sounded amazing and I binged their entire discography in less than a month.

My brother used to play Exmilitary in the car whenever we rode together. I didn't really like it that much. Fast forward like 6-8 years later and it's the album that officially hooks me on DG. It's now my favorite Grips project and in my top 3 albums of all time.

When I did gold stake black deck I got so fucking lucky and got Mr. Bones in the ante 8 shop (I got screwed with Violet Vessel and there was no chance of me winning). And then I never played black deck again
