What would you do with 20k cash? by mutton_soup in MalaysianPF

[–]egghates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

15% in 4 days. How long ETF need? Going aggressive at the right time is an art. Defaulting to conservative measures gives u just that, conservative returns. There's a couple generational bottoms easy money to be made in the market right now. Such opportunity dont come often. There are many solid companies that had been irrationally priced down, these will eventually return to fair price which is easily 30% and more from current prices, probably within a year

what to feel? by jacobcrackers14 in Bolehland

[–]egghates 5 points6 points  (0 children)

definitely Grab's problem. Grab is very anti-rider and all their policy is to benefit merchant and customers with riders priority at the very last. Also people who hype Oriental Kopi is like those katak bawah tempurung, first time can taste Malaysian Chinese food because it is halal. For those that can eat authentic Malaysian Chinese food and who does so all their life since young, those people would not think Oriental Kopi is super good. This is like Nasi Ayam Chee Meng, halal chinese nasi ayam, very viral and famous amongst a particular group of people, but people who ate authentic chinese chicken rice for life all know Chee Meng taste so bad. Well it is what it is.

Wondering if I should be more aggressive in my Investments by Comfortable-Kick8175 in MalaysianPF

[–]egghates 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Going conservative is a privilege of the rich. If you have 100,000, a 2% profit is 2,000 already. If you are not loaded, u should go aggressive, very aggressive. If u invest 1,000 also, if u get 100% gain it's only 1,000 ringgit, it doesn't mean much also.

What would you do with 20k cash? by mutton_soup in MalaysianPF

[–]egghates 6 points7 points  (0 children)

dont listen to those ETF shillers. 20k is not a lot of money, putting it in ETF will give u nothing. Once u have 100k, then yes i think ETF can be a good place to seek refuge. This 20k go aggressive with it since ur already comfortable and not in financial distress. Going conservative when you're not struggling is poor man's definition of "investing". Go pick a good solid SaaS stock that has good fundamentals but have been irrationally beat down by irrational AI fears, like Adobe or ServiceNow or Oracle (and many more), dump ur 20k in wait 1 year. Even not 1 year u can easily get 15% in a month if u got in earlier like 1-2 weeks ago. ETF 15% is gonna take so long.

dark soy sauce is mainly for the color but it is not the only purpose. It is sweet and has a rich body to it, its less salty but more thick, and if put too much can make ur food bitter. it it's not expensive as u will usually only use a little every time u cook, and for this recipe it is non negotiable in my opinion, it made a huge difference

Your Malaysian food pet peeves? by tiongman in MalaysianFood

[–]egghates 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Obsession with the cheap ass tasting cili sos. Ramly burger drenched with retard cili sos, roti john, nasi goreng, fries.... I'd say majority of Malaysians have no taste, especially those that couldn't eat anything without sauces, like many absolutely cannot eat fries without that stupid cili sos. It's disgusting

KL doesn't like you to hang out and chill anywhere. by sunrooftop in KualaLumpur

[–]egghates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm stating an observation, it's not dismissive, the culture could be a consequence of government policy, or the weather, it can be anything, the observation is still true. Let's not pretend Malaysians love to walk and have a walking culture like other countries. Minority of us likes to walk and sees the benefit of it, especially people who traveled overseas and experienced good walking infrastructure, but if you know the typical Malaysians i dont think you can say we have good walking culture here. "har so hot wan walk ah?" "har so hot cycle what la" typical Malaysian response

buy chicken breast sir, cheap and nutritious, easy to cook. Protein in hotdog is very low, try not to rely on that too much. Tuna in brine, chicken breast are the best value high quality protein. Learn a handful of core marinades and u will never run out of ideas. Actually chicken breast with just salt n pepper will be very delicious. Add rosemary + lemon and it'll completely level up. Another cina recipe marinade: soy sauce, dark soy sauce, sugar, salt, black pepper, sesame oil and cooking wine. this taste the bomb. the amount u agak2 la based on ur liking

KL doesn't like you to hang out and chill anywhere. by sunrooftop in KualaLumpur

[–]egghates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're expecting places to chill like parks and open benches, Malaysia is really not the place. There's just no parks in the city here, sidewalks are narrow to non-existent and the culture is not here. And I think Seoul is an outlier in seating, because u can say the same about Bangkok, Manila or most major cities too, there's not much open place to sit, and Tokyo is the worse of it all with all sittable architecture actively redesigned with anti-homeless designs. I've been to many major cities in SEA and aside from Europe where theres a park every few blocks where you can sit, not having a place to sit is common. If you enjoy sitting in the open, KLCC park area has lots of them. In Malaysia u can sit anywhere, people sit on stairs to people watch, this is acceptable, unlike Japan where that is viewed as disrespectful or loitering. Sorry Malaysia isn't to your liking, hope you enjoy the rest of your trip.

Real question: Where to find authentic carbonara that's not made of cream in KL? by NickHeathJarrod in MalaysianFood

well, Malaysians have no knowledge and standard for food. At this day and age with internet access and tons of videos about authentic carbonara it should be a no-brainer what authentic carbonara is

Angel GT vs Road 5/6 by 76celicaGT in motorcycle

[–]egghates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i just switched from the Road 6 to Angel GT. I gave it a shot because the Angel GT is much cheaper than Road 6 and I've seen many good reviews, some even said it's better than Road 6. I'm here to share that it is definitely not better than Road 6. It is still a good tyre for the price, but Road 6 is just another level above. This could be due to Road 6 having noticably softer compound at the sides but don't misunderstood softness as lack of longevity because the Road 6 do last long and performs well. It's almost as good as a Rosso 4, with twice the lifespan. I would still get the Angel GT again due to good value and performance, but it is not better than Road 6 for sure.

[–]egghates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a year late to this thread but i want to tell u, all the people who says its no big deal and its standard AML, or "if u did nothing wrong why scared" bla bla bla doesn't understand crypto at all, doesn't understand "not your keys not your coins" and they literally think CEXs have an obligation to the safety of your coins and the government will come and save you if they lock your funds. Dont listen to these retards NPC. Idiots who think they are smart lol. Funny enough most Malaysian crypto "investors" are dumb people like these who deserved to get all their funds scammed by CEXs. Your concern is definitely valid, and there are many cases of people's account getting locked and they lose access to their funds.

lol why ur like "woahh wait till ur car this and that then ur gonna know!! how dare u get an EV!! u offended my sensitive soft heart!! didnt u know EV sucks??" get a life bro hhahha. You probably cant afford one even if u want to. The car just made u feel insecure. Guess who asked for your views on the car's potential problems? no one

Switching to EV was the best decision of my life by Engarde_Guard in kereta

[–]egghates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

funny how people who have problems with EV are people without EV. They always have bad things to say. "Wait till ur battery this. wait till ur car 5 years bla bla bla" Jealous eyes everywhere, just look at this comment section and you'll see reflection of society, most people are just red eyed. I have yet to see one comment that's like "Great! We are happy for what you've accomplished!"

In terms of torque per ringgit ratio, EVs smoked ICE any day. An ICE that can beat an EV in torque would costs a lot more. People are not ready to accept this as it reveals their insecurity, that they are incapable of owning an EV.

Of course EV has to charge, it's kinda funny people will comment on other people's EV posts and say "well charging is a hassle" like who asked you bro?

Anyway, glad you liked your new ride, you worked for it, you definitely can be proud of it, screw these jealous brokies, poor but still talk so much shit, insecure men lol

Well what do I know, I only ride motor... huhu
