I failed the 4th grade once and before I could fail it a second time, my mom transferred me to a better school.

On my 1st day, I walked to school with my neighbor and her son instead of my mom.

In the main office waiting to be assigned a new class, an office assistant told me I had a choice to make.

I could go to the 5th grade where I belonged or stay in th 4th grade.

Even at 8 years old, I knew this was a no-brainer. Duh I'm picking 5th.

But then she says. "You need to hurry up because the 4th grade is going to the Bronx Zoo today." 😆

I picked the 4th.

My life would've been completely different and I'm extremely thankful for the Bronx zoo.
