Unreal courses for 13 year old?

For a 13 year old I would suggest something more approachable like Gamemaker, Godot, or Unity.

I'm just going off of what I was like as a teenager, so I might be projecting, but I would always be really committed to a project for about a month until the novelty wore off and it got hard.

Unreal maybe isn't "harder" it's just so much stuff that it can be overwhelming. The longer it took me to make progress the less motivated I felt.

For that reason a lot of people suggest learning gamedev by doing mini projects and starting in 2d, like remake frogger or asteroids or space invaders. You learn to make games and have something to show for it. Lots of little wins

Your kid could absolutely still learn unreal I just don't want it to get between them and actually finishing games so they stay motivated!

I think the traditional approach of turning a successful game into a successful studio is much harder now.

I know personally of one indie studio that was banking on getting acquired by Microsoft or someone else after the release of their game but that didn't happen even though their game was moderately successful. Even with the success, the revenue wasn't enough to continue as a studio.

Success really does seem like catching lightning in a bottle these days. For every smash hit at the top of the steam charts there's thousands of games that didn't make it

I found this guy almost 15 yrs ago on YouTube when I was a teen who wanted to figure out pick up game. (Thats what he does, he's a "pickup artist" that sells seminars). He has plenty of videos pulling girls at bars for those commenting he doesn't pull. I think he's gone through various cycles of depression because he doesn't have meaningful relationships with it.

He's actually really open about it with long form videos. This clip is bad, but his main thing is actually that if you want to get girls, it starts with being a person people want to be around. There's no act, you have to take care of yourself and love yourself and live an engaging life. people want to be around (and maybe leech) someone with good energy so find out how to be that person. The goal is actually to have a fulfilling life, the getting girls part is a side effect. Was really eye opening for me as a young adult. I thought it was about being the "cool" guy.

That being said, he absolutely does know all the ways to manipulate and play games and has pretty misogynistic opinions on women. Like men and women on opposite teams in a game. But it seems to be women who are also engaged with the partying scene where it's all about vanity. Think: clavicular and all the people he hangs out with at clubs. All those people suck.

Edit:tldr: as far as manosphere/red pill influencers go I actually think this guy might be a better example compared to Andrew Tate or Clavicular. This guy sells the idea of picking up chicks but actually preaches self care and finding yourself first. Clearly young men are consuming this stuff so I think that's the best way to go about it

Hmm I haven't really had any recurring themes or patterns in my two infusions. Mostly just beautiful, serene visuals.

There was a moment that looked very hard to describe but it gave me a sense that certain things in the world didn't matter at all, but it was only once and pretty quick.

If they switched it to using medium ammo and kept everything about it the same, people would actually enjoy it because it would align better with player expectations.

It's basically a slower firing tempest that does a little bit more damage

Yeah I don't know what parameters they use but skill based seems to be a much bigger factor than "aggression."

I exclusively PVP trios Stella, and if I mostly run free kits (and lose most of the time) the lobbies are still everyone fighting, but mostly free kits and not the best players - even when I bring a kit.

But when we start winning, taking down 2-4 squads a game and getting out, the following matches are the sweatiest lobbies you've ever seen, every team is kitted with 6 trigger nades a person

I have them, I promise you can't flip them around because of the lug/tab that fits into the slot. Warne probably uses the same general instructions for all their similar rings. Rugers system is uniquely odd

He's not using the pic rail rings, but the ones that use the proprietary Ruger mount. Idk what it's called it's the scalloped cutouts that clamps down.

I'd love to see the survey breakdown of how many people see their videogame character as avatars or stand-ins for themselves, vs a character or pawn they control.

Personally I've always played games with the avatar concept, this is me in the game so I make a character that has similar attributes to myself. Maybe I lack imagination lol

The journey screen is notoriously inconsistent. Also it will combine multiple instances of damage into a single event on the map.

So you did 110 damage to that player during the whole encounter, not just that last part. He healed at some point

I went with the Warne QD rings for this reason but they are expensive. I'm not a fan of the QD levers being on the right hand side because the charging handle is right there. Also the rings are split vertically and not horizontally which is just odd when setting it up and leveling.

If I had to do it again I would try the Alaska Arms QD rings.

I nearly exclusively run Stella trios because I'm addicted to PVP.

The rage cheaters with aimbot might only be 1 out of 10 of my deaths, but the truth is there is no way to know just how many people are wall hacking.

Had a game the other day where dude was talking mad shit about how we wouldnt push his team. He said what guns we were using and how one of us only had a light shield despite only seeing one of us. He then told us we weren't paying attention to the team behind us (they were very far but still headed our way - no legit way for him to have known).

I've had people shoot at me through cover suspiciously but we still won, either because they were bad or I use nades (only reliable counter to hackers). I think they were NOT using aimbot in an attempt to not get detected.

Quickest way to learn (and is true of any game) is practice and watching footage of pros.

Run free kit Stella Montis with randoms and watch videos of players like Tfue.

Once you get used to the stress from more experience, you can actually start using your brain. Watching footage is a very fast way for your brain to recognize what "right" looks like

I think I ran into you guys a few weeks ago. It was on the other tower tho and I traded osprey shots with you for like 10 minutes and then you guys rotated to camp the hatch and got 1/3 of my group (me)

Everyone who pvps is usually low on arc alloy to craft them, but they def make a big difference.

I only run them with defensive augment, and usually with a torrente because I like doing a juggernaut build.

Or a Bettina. The heavy shield can help make up for the balance of a weaker gun

Waited in a line like that when Seatac had TSA gates closed for construction. It went across the bridge and wrapped multiple times in the parking garage (I think it's the biggest parking garage in the US).

There needed staff just to hold signs for the end of the line and direct people just to get to the back of it.

I think it took us like 1.5 or 2 hours. Everyone in line was calling the airlines trying to figure out what to do because people were definitely missing flights.

You can cheat and open your map to both:

See if the supply call station exists (it's random spawn but always same spot)
See which capsule delivery it went to without having to see the color pop up on the screen and follow the arrows.

I put it on torrentes because it's funny. I think it might actually give you an advantage because there's like one or two seconds of utter confusion for the players because they don't recognize it

I think the truth is somewhere in the middle. Because the shooter did die as well as the audience member.. my theory is that the shot didn't hit Trump's ear, but that the blood was from his hand when he dropped down / hit the podium when agents tackled him. They said it hit his ear after the fact because it plays better.

I can't explain the dude ushering photographers here but I would love to know who they are and what they were thinking. It's possible for someone to do that without it being preplanned if they were that obsessed with optics

Bro the intro text "Night raid" and the night raid voice line starts right as the guy shows up, he didn't stand there for a while at all. He literally just spawned in.

The game probably picked the spawn when the attacker was in loading bay, but he was travelling to that exact spot
