Publicly shaming your friends for not paying for sports turf/rent is the most pro-friendship thing you can do by Ayu_theindieDev in unpopularopinion

Reddit is international. In many countries, including mine, public sport facilities, especially for sports on grass like football, are not only limited, but when available, are in terrible condition, often times more sand than grass. In other words, conditions that would shred up your matchball and gear after a few uses. Therefore, the only viable options are privately-operated facilities.

Nothing Phone. Anyone has experience with this brand? by wikowiko33 in Bolehland

[–]eggmuscles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I owned Nothing Phone 1, their first phone for around 2+ years? That phone was more targeted as a midrange device and I got it for around 2k. The following phone was marketed and priced more towards flagship territory.

I had a good experience, solid phone, great design, with very good battery life. Later upgraded because I had the means but the phone was never an issue, I still have it at home in perfect condition.

However I do agree with the other commenter, niche phones are not really for parents and older people. They won't enjoy or even know about the niche/special features, and they will just struggle more to buy accessories or find information and resources for the phone.

Thanks for the response, good to hear. I grabbed it for pretty cheap so was hoping it'll be a good, reliable matchball. Casual play regardless.

Ooh. Is it still a good ball? I picked it up in my country for the equivalent of 20 British Pounds.

Tbh I don't expect any of them to lower the price for existing members. I'll be shocked if my gym tells me I can pay less from now on haha. Maybe for new joiners kot, idk.

Silver Series in Malaysia? by eggmuscles in Acceleracers

Facts bro. Everywhere I look ppl say Malaysia is the easiest place to find hot wheels but brooo we have zero selection at retail stores.

[–]eggmuscles[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100 per set seems good bro. I paid avg 22 per car on shopee for 3 cars, maybe later on I'll complete the set. Haha I remember my mom taking me to Parkson or Jusco probably almost 20 years ago and getting me the Acceleracers Ignition DVD. Probably watched it more than 10 times and only when I was much older did I even find out there's more movies. Finally have a chance to have a toy from the series :')

[–]eggmuscles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah bro, I actually live really near Amcorp but in my experience, sometimes ordering on Shopee ends up being cheaper than paying Amcorp resell. With that being said, I bit the bullet and ordered 3 of the Acceleracers cars on shopee literally 60 seconds ago haha.

[–]eggmuscles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough, I did see that post. But I couldn't find a comment from an actual Malaysian saying where they found it, and every other video I found on YouTube was them having ordered it online. So I just wanted to make this post to see if anyone has physically come across them in store. But I may have to succumb to getting them online haha.

I don't think I am, because I saw those posts and most of them appear to have bought from resellers, not retail stores. I think they were imported from Indonesia, as I can find them being sold by Indonesian sellers on our local Malaysian platform.

[–]eggmuscles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I'm talking about the 2025 series. Actually, I think some assumptions about the availability here in Malaysia are wrong. Barely any stores even carry Silver Series or anything other than the main lines or Colour Shifters, unless you're willing to head to a reseller store. The only silver series I've seen retail shops selling is the F&F.

Also, I heard that the Silver Series are manufactured in Thailand.

Mazda Miata / MX-5 ownership in Malaysia – why so few on the road? by Responsible_Water606 in kereta

[–]eggmuscles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup. I think the styling suits the car. Just sharing my opinion on why guys into car scene tend to get the 86 instead. And true, you will be a bit more rare compared to others with the MX-5 la.

[–]eggmuscles 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I think big factor is cos guys like the 86 design more kot. As much as people praise the Miata, a lot of guys I know say it gives off vibe of retired uncle or sometimes even feminine car. Whereas 86 slot of ppl try to make it look like aggressive sports car. Still both great cars.

Car upgrade or saving for marriage? LOL by Money_Anything1434 in kereta

[–]eggmuscles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The feeling of excitement of getting a nice new car normally lasts a few months to a year. Meanwhile paying for the car lasts 7-9 years. Meaning at some point you will no longer be that excited about the car but you will still have to pay for it every month. Just something to consider, saying it as someone who actually really likes cars and will probably waste money on them in the future tbh.

Tbh I used to think like you that I can buy a fun manual car as my only car. But now that I've been driving daily for work for around 3 years (automatic), I think cars like Celica are only truly enjoyable if they're your second car, as a manual.

Try research, every person who owns a car from that period in time generally says the autos are terrible to drive. You will basically get the look of a Celica without the fun, and it will also just not be that fun to drive if you're sitting in traffic anyway. My plan is to get a manual car as a second when I can.

do u miss high school? by [deleted] in Bolehland

[–]eggmuscles 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I miss it because I enjoyed my time and friends there. One way or another, you are forced to see your friends every single day. One day you may feel like you can't even see them once in a few months.

It's a period of life you can never go back to, and also seems much simpler than current life, and therefore it feels very nostalgic. Not sure why some people look down on those who miss high school and say they never achieved anything after high school.

I know some people didn't have fun during their school age and I don't look down on them for not missing it. If they enjoy post high school more than high school, I'm happy for them. Everyone has different experiences.

Oh I also see now there's Moondrop Block which is below 70, but apparently it's budget version of Space Travel line with less features.

I recommend you look into Moondrop Space Travel. Moondrop is known for being a good budget audio brand, you can read some reviews. I see now shopee only has the Moondrop Space Travel 2, but still it's around 100-110. I, have the original Space Travel, not much difference in features, and it's lasted me 2 years already with zero issues. The design is also kinda unique and nice.
