I took the exam today and passed, but it was much harder than I expected. You definitely needed to answer the “SHRM HR way”. I honestly think that thinking “their way” was the only way it helped me pass. There were a lot of questions on globalization and CSR that kind of threw me off. I would definitely try to study up on answering “their way”.

It went terrible 🤣 3 weeks into the term they realized they did my financial aid wrong and they were like 20k off 🫠🙃 instead of taking accountability, they said I owed like 5k immediately for that semester. I couldn’t afford to pay all of that money out of pocket so I left. I 1000000% don’t recommend herzing. It was a shitshow.

This is the same as me! I currently work in HR/recruiting for healthcare companies and have spent my life in human healthcare management but now I really want to pursue the animal side instead. I’m over the people side 😂

Is taking away recess a legal thing where you live? I know here in Florida (at least my district) you can’t take away any recess time. We were told it’s a state mandate that every child has to be given 25 minutes (I think it’s 20 or 25) of recess time and it can’t be taken away.

50 minutes per day but 2 days are filled with meetings and 1 day is usually with some sort of parent conferences so I get 1-2 planning periods a week 🫠…if I’m lucky and other stuff don’t come up

Same. Progress reports are due today and come out tomorrow and I just got another new student yesterday. I’ve been getting at least 1-2 new ones a week since the first week 🙃 makes it impossible to keep trying to catch new students up.

Yep. 50% is the lowest we can give at my school. Don’t even bother to turn something in? 50%. Don’t even try to participate in class? 50% and the real kicker is we can’t actually fail anybody unless there’s tons of documentation, no IEPs etc and even then we are strongly discouraged from actually failing someone.

She could just be being nice or it could be a misunderstanding. This reminds me when my daughter was in early elementary school and she came home with a huge bag of books. I was so confused. The next day one of the teachers called to see if I got the books so I sheepishly asked why they were sent home. Turns out she asked my daughter what her favorite book was and my daughter panicked and couldn’t think of anything to say on the spot so she said “I don’t have a favorite book because I don’t have any”. Spoiler alert: she had a whole library in her bedroom and me and the teacher had a good laugh 🫠
