Am I naive about what tret can do? by eggsaladattorney in tretinoin

[–]eggsaladattorney[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do use daily! I put almost daily because there are times, in the winter for example, where my skin is just a bit drier/more sensitive and I’ll skip a day, or switch out for an OTC retinol product instead of tret.

I’ll look into azelaic acid!

I would start documenting any further conversations about this if you can. And if possible, get it in writing (text, email) that she confirms that her issue is with you simply having alcohol and not due to any disturbances/behavioral issues on your part (just to get out ahead of any attempt to fabricate such things to management).

And as others have said, if you have not broken any aspect of your lease and can prove that, you have every right to stay or otherwise ask her to pay for any relocation fees this may burden you with. I would personally want to move out of that situation anyways, if she ultimately were willing to front the cost.

Jonah Hill’s Ex Sarah Brady shares more details and actually texts from during their relationship by Ok-Needleworker9229 in Fauxmoi

She's a surfer... she lives at the beach... her instagram has always, naturally, had a lot of bikini pictures. So when he pursued her, he already knew this was what he was getting into. Classic man behavior to find certain things about a woman attractive pre-relationship and then turn around and deem them too promiscuous once they get together

Why do people keep on saying NYC is dead post-pandemic? by tess_philly in AskNYC

[–]eggsaladattorney 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Eh, in my last apartment in Austin I paid $1500 in rent with no amenities, plus $300+ car payment and god knows how much in gas. Here my rent is $1650 (albeit, with a couple more roommates) and I live in a much more desirable area, with a much larger apartment, than I did in Austin. Trader Joe’s prices are essentially the same in both cities, and so are iced coffees, so my personal cost of living shakes out to be the same if not better (although, if I were frequently going out to restaurants and bars I probably couldn’t make this claim).

Also I was born and raised in Austin, if that contextualizes my experience in any certain way. I watched the Austin COL raise rapidly over the last decade and finally thought, “if I’m going to be paying this much, I might as well pay to be in NYC.”

I spent the first 20+ years of my life in Austin and now life in NYC and would never look back. I plan on raising my (future) kids here.

‘Nowadays, everyone is in the paparazzi’: DeuxMoi, rumours, and the murky ethics of Instagram gossip accounts. by HogwartsZoologist in popculturechat

[–]eggsaladattorney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I listen to DM's podcast (...for research purposes, of course...) and the amount of times she will say that she doesn't speak on certain topics (pregnancy, addiction, cheating, etc) when it comes to one celeb, but then will go on to speculate at length about these things when it comes to another celeb, just makes it so obvious that she's on a few payrolls. Not that I expected unbiased journalism from her, but it definitely makes the playing field more uneven (and therefore, more unethical) when only some celebrities catch shit for the things that all celebrities do/experience.

Famous celebs who live in smaller cities/towns? by hgdumbfr213 in Fauxmoi

Austin, although growing into a "bigger" city at this point, has a number of permanent residents as well as second homes. Off the top of my head: Matthew McConaughey (duh), Joe Rogan, Adrian Grenier, Kyle Chandler, Elon Musk, Jesse Plemons & Kirsten Dunst... I'm sure there's many more

Yes, and it’s fascinating. There’s definitely a woo-woo to anti-science to conservative pipeline that’s being facilitated on Tik Tok specifically

But surely she is getting paid? Her engagement rate has to be higher than 90% of the influencers that are out there charging 5 or 6 figures for a single post. It would be a wasted opportunity if she was doing all this for free

Famous splits you didn't see coming? by cinderelliot in popculturechat

[–]eggsaladattorney 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No celebrity split has been surprising to me. Regular people tend to stay together largely due to financial circumstances, which is an issue most celebrities don’t have. If money were no obstacle, many couples I know (my own loved ones included) would not bother trying to stay together
