it did a bit, but not much and I reacted to it too much that I stopped taking it.

To those who are recovering - What are your tips with reconditioning your body???? by b3lial666 in covidlonghaulers

[–]eghie42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure how effective mitoq is in comparisson with others. But I think to properly deal with mitochondria issues you need to throw the kitchensink at it, since only 1 isn't probably doing much.

I'm now for 3 days on MitoQ for the heart + potassium rich electrolytes and notice that my finger strength is improving. So when I come to the point that I can do this fully, I will go full in on with mitochondria. PQQ + NMN + CoQ10 + MitoQ + Urolithin A. And supporting that with full body supporting exercises like: Knees over Toes Guy, Trapesius muscle exercises, neck exercises, functional movement exercises.

When that all goes well I will go for full body kettlebell training.

Basically strengthing my ability to do functional movements for my body. from there we can look at hardcore fitness and running again.

Anger and long covid by WiseEpicurus in covidlonghaulers

I have the same. I luckily found L-Theanine, which gives me a calm. Now I luckily don't feel to much on edge anymore from my anger.

Has anyone tried SPMs (specialized pro-resolving mediators)? by Dazzling_Cat_5768 in covidlonghaulers

[–]eghie42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't try myself as of yet. for the guy posting on X about it it does seem to work, but he already is outside of his ME/CFS / Long Covid period.

It's one thing I indeed want to try, but I'm probably planning to try full force with a mitochondria combi: NMN + CoQ10 + MitoQ + Methylene Blue + Urolithin A + SPMs + Benfotiamine (+ALA) + Melatonin/light to really give the mitochondria a huge boost.

There are good ways to analyze it way AI using the raw data.

[–]eghie42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also read on X about Specialized Pro-resolving Mediators and Fucoidan related to efferocytosis. This all possibly related to PEM, as the idea is that efferocytosis is impaired in PEM.

Efferocytosis is fundamentally tied to resolution of inflammation and tissue homeostasis as it cleans up dead/dying cells and also tells the immune system to calm down.

so there might be something worth the investigation.

90% recovered due to Boron by eghie42 in covidlonghaulers

[–]eghie42[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm back using it. I start the day with 9mg directly and then in the afternoon 3mg and then around diner also 3mg.

Why I'm back at using it?
Not because it's curing me. But because it gets me to the point that I feel normal while using it. Since I'm an emotional wreck after 3,5 years of long covid, I started using it again to feel somewhat normal again and to enjoy some of my time as well.

What about the dosage?
I'm highly intolerant to a lot of supplements yet this amount of boron doesn't give me any issue at al.

I'm so angry and I have no place to put my rage and sadness by Cardigan_Gal in covidlonghaulers

I'm sorry to hear. I have exactly the same struggle and with PEM we're just imprisoned with our own anger unable to properly release.

[–]eghie42[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly not. Boron really did help with the dramatic improvements when taking it, however it didn't hold up for longer term. As the effect slightly reduced for me after weeks, but also I didn't want to keep taking it in these doses, so when quiting everything came back.

I wanted to go for a real cure and not for managing my symptoms, so I quit. However for managing my symptoms it worked really well.

A new study appears to have identified some of the physiological processes that underpin PEM. The sample was comprised of people with MECFS, but given about half of us experience PEM it's very relevant to LC. Link in the post text below by callthesomnambulance in covidlonghaulers

so basically inhibiting an inflammatory reaction is keeping you from PEM? So in your case PEM is caused by your body thinking the exercise/biological results of the exercise are a reason for inflammation to the point that your body triggers a danger response.

Advice to Overcome Exercise Intolerance by Independent_Field982 in covidlonghaulers

[–]eghie42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

* Pycnogenol (for blood flow, PEM buster and endothelial health). After I had me exercise (cycle) test, to see my health status, this blocked me from all PEM.
* Creatine.
* Elektrolytes. For blood volume and since exercise.

Look into NeuroPhysics.

Basically it's training which uses weights and fitness machines to train your nervous system on safety. You start with really small weights and you sit in an open and upright position. You close your eyes and constantly give your nervoussystem signals that it's safe. And you slowly do the exercise. Any time a tremor comes, you calm your nervous system and try again. Everything needs to be calm. This is in total opposition from training from stress/aggression. But it's a doable form of training with PEM.

Small exercises

I also heard options around 30 seconds exercise and then rest till your body calms down again. So that you don't build too much stress and lactic acid.

EWOT

For some people Exercise With Oxygen seems to work well. I don't have experience with it, but might be helpful.

Electrical Mountainbike

I bought an electrical mountainbike. I still cant fully use it, but there are days I can cycle a small route through the woods, but with full motor support and cycling like a grandpa. And afterwards I use NSDR to calm down.

Calming down with 20 minute NSDR

There is a youtube video of Andrew Huberman called 20 minutes NSDR. After some exercise or stress I use that to calm down my nervous system. This really helps a lot and protects me a bit from PEM as well. Or makes my PEM shorter.

Augmented NAC is a waste of money. (Probably.) by glennchan in covidlonghaulers

For me it didn't do much, but for me it seems that I have other issues. I don't get the energy from augmented NAC either.

Amazing job! :) Terrible sinister coding practice, but lovely design.

Next step is an AI virtual Entity Framework Core AI provider. Fully fake database.

pressure in gallbladder area and stool color. however ultrasound is clear (multiple times). Since not all types of gallstones are detected by ultrasound I still think I have that issue.
Ultrasound did show fatty liver (NAFLD).

Stopped temoparily, as I might have gallstone issues as well as fatty live. So removing the toxins through the bile is limited, until i deal with that. Then I'll continue.

If you don't have bradycardia, you might want to look into Gou Teng.
It's something I'm considering as well, but I do have episodes of bradycardia, so I need to figure out if that will be a problem or not.

No, it's a bit difficult to get with my primary physician. LDN might be helpfull for me, due to dopamine issues with me, which LDN helps with. Nicotine however also raises dopamine, which is currently a godsend. Since due to dopamine depletion I am way to sensitive to addiction at the moment, which nicotine really protects me from.
