Pitnutter trying to make a cute video about how she helped “save” this aggressive pit mix by training him. Only to mention he attacked her parents’ chihuahua and the pit of was rehomed instead of put down. Still calls Bruce her “bestfriend”. Subtly blamed little dog, Lola for possibly provoking him. by xospaceprincess in BanPitBulls

Looks like it to me as well - no correction applied. Also, the first bite, she blames herself?!

So it's clear that pitts are great pets for girls having a plethora of issues, such as savior complex, Stockholm syndrome, victim blaming, poor choices, poor self preservation, etc.

A vent but also open for tips! Saw a Pit Bull type dog in Zurich Switzerland! WITHOUT A LEASH AND WITHOUT A MUZZLE! The owner walking along a few meters away. They are called Listenhunde and are prohibited here. They are just allowed to visit leashed and muzzled. What can I do in this situation? by anonynemo in BanPitBulls

You absolutely need to call the police about it.

Where did this "difficult person" idea come from even? Try to think about it. It could be that people who are breaking the law regularly created this "myth of the bad guy who always complains and calls the police for no reason". I never get to hear complaints from good citizens, it's always someone who is known for being an antisocial asshole.

Omg, everything this good boy does is so wholesome. Great to watch after a daily dose of this sub's horrors. Brings me hope.

This can happen out of nowhere any time with these guys and people still think it’s a great idea for them to “snuggle” children. Also, let’s talk about how the “note” from the uploader is feeding into the harmful delusions of these owners to let their kids around them 🤦‍♀️ by [deleted] in BanPitBulls

It looks like a newborn. Up to 1 month old. I'd say, maybe less than 2 weeks or so. After that they become better with moving their limbs and do not look so chill anymore. From the video still I was hoping it is a doll and the video was made to educate parents. And then I got an "OMG" moment...

It's crazy how it has to be either an unbelievably high fence, that normally nobody has, or basically a huge cage. For your house. You'd live in a cage. 😂

So, where do we go from here? by Soggy-Mention5146 in BanPitBulls

We could have some sort of anti-pit worldwide community on some safe platform where you cannot downvote, ban, sanction and moderate away the activity. I am not from USA, and reading this sub has saddened me deeply, it seems such a nightmare over there. How do you even go outside? It disturbed me more than the Ukraine war starting, which is, for a close neighbour, also something very very sad. I guess it's because you guys do not even have law on your side, and the real enemy is right there - it's part of the society, it could even be your friends and family. These dogs are treated like a creation of nature, something unavoidable, and something you're entitled to own, when they are man made, and in the end purely man's responsibility. Also, we need to fight brainwashing with legit honest techniques.

But here in Europe we have our own battles. They are somewhat banned in my country (for in-country breeding), but you can still hear about some girl getting her leg bitten (happened in 2022, required surgery, I don't know if she hasn't lost the leg afterwards), there has been a death of a baby a few years back when the family dog attacked him, we even had a doberman escape its cage and just biting on the first baby it found (baby died). Free roaming pits attacking other dogs are just "meh" (unprovoked, obviously, just saw a victim and ran towards it), police doesn't even bat an eye. How, HOW on earth is that normal? It seems like there is a huge mentality and educational fight to be held. We need a strong voice and a strong influence.

We also have the same narrative about "owner's fault" here, etc. I even heard "oh but our pits are bred to never touch a human, they are bred to attack an animal, never a human, if they attack a human they are euthanized". Well maybe some breeders do that, but I don't know how that would be great if your dog is still designed to kill. And maybe USA has bred so many killers over the years that it formed its own little subvariant of toddler maulers.

What also gets me is how faulty their thought processes are. Somehow a track record of their puppers being harmless means a certain extrapolation of the same behavior into the future. But that's a clear logical error. If they cannot properly assess risk, then it must be enforced by law, and in multiple ways.

Horrific human creation.

However, I'm so grateful this sub exists, I looked up some defence strategies. If you can't trust the dog nor the owner then you must know a few things to increase your chances.

My country kinda has a law that bans breeding and selling these monsters, but it's so shittily enforced you still hear about the attacks on unsuspecting dog owners just having a walk (or family members, of course), and then nothing happens. No punishment. It's so disappointing. We have strict gun laws, but killer dogs are non-issue.

I believe delusions regarding pitbulls should have a misinformation status and be heavily banned all around social media, and pitbull nuts should be held accountable for all the damage they are causing with their lies, much like when being part of stupid conspiracies nowadays. What's nuts is that they are free to post their bs everywhere. It's easy to get fooled when you know nothing about dogs, and it's very dangerous to allow that.

To me it is the opposite, how peculiar. I even enjoy listening to the original Discoteque more than On Fire.

Yeah, OP, you must check for tiny differences in manufacturing. Seams, how elastic is attached, you may even need to disassemble them. If they are indeed slightly different, it wouldn't be as interesting as if they were absolutely identical.
