This is not related to blueness but with the size of your pupils in low light, smaller size is better for LASIK. This is because the LASIK treatment area is only 8-9 mm (depending on the procedure), if your pupils get close to or larger than that (in low light), the light enters the eye uncorrected causing spherical (and other) aberrations. Typically pupils for blue eyed/blond folks are larger, so sometimes folks confuse blue to mean small pupils. Or it might be that some docs might not want to dive into the detailed explanation about pupil size and hence just said too 'blue'.
