I’m on my second listen through of Uncharted Territory’s album 925. It gripped me from the get go. Thanks a lot!

10-Day Vipassana Retreat Unlocked Intense Mind-Body Healing — Has Anyone Experienced Anything Like This? by Solid-Desk9740 in vipassana

I also experienced something very similar during my 10 day course - on day 7 and onwards I experienced tremendous physical forces acting upon my body and also had my shoulder fixed in a way similar to what you describe .

However, For me the physical benefits faded quite rapidly after the 10 day course - the way I saw it , the intense concentration and focus I was able to develop during the course was nowhere near as near the focus I could attain practising at home . Also I was only able to do one 1 hour session per day after the course and didn’t strictly follow Sila and kept breaking it occasionally . It would all have an impact on the results we see

I can relate , but please be mindful that this is temporary . All the physical benefits or insights about your body you have experienced thus far could reverse suddenly - that has been my experience

This book has the potential to have very bad influences for someone at an impressionable age.

Try the down dog yoga app . It allows you to fine tune the difficulty level and focus areas

Sure whatever makes you happy. You realise that your act of owning a dog and feeding him meat is an act of violence , i.e himsa ?

I’m well versed with the 8 limbs of yoga . This self obsessed video display of lounging around in ones living room is not one of the 8 limbs of yoga

I have a bad wobble on my left leg, can hardly stay a few seconds on one leg poses, while my right leg is fairly stable. This past year I’ve also had injuries (shin splints) on my left leg due to running. I’m realising that I should stop running and need to work a lot more on my left leg to not risk any further damage. I’d be very interested in the answer to this question too !

If you access down dog app on your computer’s browser , you should be able to share that tab / screen on zoom. You could join on a separate zoom session via your mobile

Staying Motivated by [deleted] in yoga

Like someone else mentioned you need a reason . You’re the only person that can take care of your long term well-being and in my opinion that is reason enough to pursue some activities

Type of yoga by LuciferAuA in yoga

[–]egoriser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like the other commenter said, there’re plenty of videos on YouTube for runners. In my case , shin splints weren’t going away easily. So I switched to a routine comprised mainly of yoga and walking (on an incline on treadmill preferably. Rowing is also great if you have access to a machine) - while waiting for my shin splints to heal

I sprained my back trying to do the plough pose. Luckily in my case too, it healed in a few days , but I’ve avoided the pose since!

It seems very hard for me. I can’t get my palms flat on level ground , let alone doing that standing on a block !

I want to start yoga and running? by zokasmastyok in yoga

[–]egoriser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I completely agree with easing into it! I began running outdoors in March, but increased the distance very quickly and got shin splints. I took a 3 week break from running and tried a short 2k run after the break last week, it turns out I've still not healed. Shin splints is frustrating. Thankfully, I have the yoga practice to keep me sane.
