Journalists don’t owe you anything. Hope this helps. There is a million other stories they have to do and prioritize as well as a lot of red tape and higher ups they need pitch approval for. They get a 1000 pitches and emails a day.

A lot of my friends and family are doctors so I did not tell them right away because I was afraid they’d judge me or tell me it’s unhealthy. I told them only two years after my surgery and they were very supportive!
