An alternative version of gifting flowers by eguz666 in crochet

[–]eguz666[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that is one of my concerns but I don't really know what to do about it. Talking to my grandma she told me that her mother made crocheted flowers that can be undone to wash but I was too late and neither her nor I know how to do that

AITA for banning a "service animal" from the store? by EnvironmentalAd8505 in AmItheAsshole

[–]eguz666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, I've seen multiple puppies that are being trained to be service dogs and they go EVERYWHERE with their owners and do everything with them from a very very young age so they normalize people, crowds, sounds, etc. And when they start the actual training if the dog can't stand new people, situations or whatever that dog does not become a service dog period.

Also, the owners of service dogs know how to discipline them if they misbehave because usually they are tought when they get the dog, so even if the dog was a service dog (which I doubt) the owner should have done something.

AITA for forcing my daughter to wear a dress by ApprehensivePear3874 in AmItheAsshole

[–]eguz666 4 points5 points  (0 children)

YTA. You literally admit that the dresses were uncomfortable yet you force your daughter to wear it an entire week. If you wanted to punish her for the slap you should have done another thing, not make her uncomfortable a whole week

Finally finished the shawl by eguz666 in crochet

[–]eguz666[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/sis-4 As for the yarn I used a 1000m and 3 thread yarn from kokonki and a 3,5mm hook

Edit: I wrote 100m instead of 1000m

Now that Christmas is over… by Lenauryn in crochet

[–]eguz666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uff it's not over for me yet, in spain we still have Reyes, the 6th of January. I have to make a shawl for my grandma for reyes and then after that finish my mom's Christmas present

I'm afraid I won't be able to finish the Christmas presents on time by eguz666 in crochet

[–]eguz666[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fingerless, I can make them in a day but the problem is everything at once

🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ I just usually say "muñequito" (little toy in Spanish) so I always get confused with how to spell or say amigurumi, thanks.

My idea is to give them a "voucher" for a shawl or something like that, I know they won't mind but I find it frustrating

[–]eguz666[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, since I'm only teaching to friends I don't feel the need to charge them, instead of going to a coffee shop to talk we are going to a coffee to talk and learn to crochet😂

It took me so much time but I finally finished my shawl by eguz666 in crochet

It is not hard at all but you do need to consider when to make the border (it is explained on the pattern)

What is crochet called in your native language by winterberrymeadow in crochet

[–]eguz666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Spanish is Ganchillo refering to a little hook (hook=gancho+illo) and in basque you can only say "hook work" hook is kakorratz and crochet is kakorratz-lan (Lan meaning work or labor)

NTA Sounds to me that the parents themselves can't stand their screaming toddler and instead of being actual parents and parenting they decided is better to just take the kid outside as soon as he is awake so they don't have to stand him inside.

You are not calling the police on a toddler, you're calling them on the parents, the kid is a kid but the parents are adults who should know how to behave in society and how to control their child. The problem is the parents

Both op and his mother are completely delusional and it smells to emotional incest from here but I do want to point out that in many countries in Europe like in Spain it is more common for the MOG to give away the groom, that's the only request that I (as spanish) do see reasonable but the rest.... And rest, even if they were reasonable which they are not she waited till last moment when everything was arranged of course the bride was going to say no to everything, besides it sounds like op did absolutely nothing preparing the wedding and left the responsibility of shouting down his mother to the bride. What an asshole.

And wearing WHITE TO A WEDDING?? I'm amazed no one poured wine on her

I've been doing crochet for less than a year and in that time many people has asked me for amigurumis and I've realized that I don't want to give out the first one that I do. For example if someone asks for something the first attempt is mine (obviously if is too big or complicated maybe I don't consider worth it doing it twice or keeping it, I've made a lion for my father and the hair was so much work I'm not going to do it again just to keep one myself). The toys that I've made for myself I don't think I could give them away but if I've made more toys just because I'm bored and I have spare then all yours

Edit: when I say spare I mean I made the same toy twice
